What's more important?

So the other day I was talking to a good friend about how some people just disappear from this community and never come back. It's especially sad when this person is a close friend, but let's face it, everyone is replaceable to some degree aren't they? It's the impression that you leave behind that matters.

So I'm wondering what matters more to you? Meaning a little to a lot of people or a lot to one person?

Normally when there is a lot for one person that is a relationship. I would definitely pick a close relationship with someone over having small talk chats with heaps of people.

The smallest of things matter so much, so much so that even little bits of meaning to many people is much more powerful than just to one person.
(Although it might be because I have no romantic relationship with anyone and I bet the people who do will differ from my answer, maybe run a test but it's quite an obvious conclusion…)

I would probably choose the former, since it is much more stressful meaning so much to a single individual. I couldn't imagine meaning so much to a single person, and suddenly disappearing from existence. I've never experienced it before, therefore I can only visualize the consequences. I would rather not be the sort of person that needs to fulfill one's happiness, but a person whom one'd have heightened respect towards.

For their sake, I'd rather mean next to nothing, I never stick around. The longest I'll have a friend is a year, that's it.

I would mean a little to a lot, because the closer you are, the more it hurts...

One person would mean that you would depend too much. Many people leaves your options open.
