Pacific rim movie wtf?!

Ok first watch the trailer if you havnt already.

WHAT THE F$%# IS THIS?! I am just so startled and confused I HAD to make a forum post ASAP. PLEASE discuss and if anyone can explain wtf this is please do.

My biggest wtf are 2 things.
1. Glados! From portal! That is her voice 100% why would they do that? Thats just crazy. why is glados in the movie and if shes not, why the F did they think they could copy her voice and get away with it? Do they think they are being original?!
2. The whole movie concept is a complete rip off of Neon Genesis Evangelion. Other things too like gundam and power rangers.

These just... this just.. my mind is blow with confusion and just wtf. Im not saying it looks bad.. i dont hate it.. I just need a moment

While I have no clue what Neon genesis Evangelion is, the voice is very very close to glados. It is a possibility that they hired the same voice actress for it.

The film is like transformers, just that the humans get to control the robots and they are fighting "Aliens" that look like Dino's.

There is a place for movies like this, where story and common sense are left in the dust in exchange for horrorific amounts of CGI. It is called the Baylight Zone.

And I also though of GLaDOS when I saw this trailer befor watching the Hobbit.

Don't think of it as Glados. Ellen McLain is a voice actor, and she is just mostly known for Glados. They wanted her to do an AI voice, and she did it.
