Why do people listen to bad singers?

Talentless auto-tuned "artists", men rapping about sex and hookers, and women who whine more than sing, only having fans from being nearly naked on albums.

Why do people listen to them, and why are they famous?

Society has begun accepting these types of subjects. It's something that I personally don't like because it isn't singing at all. I don't listen to country, which is real music, but I don't listen to rap either. I prefer to listen to the most popular songs that actually have a story to them.

Simple Answer: People have different perceptions of the word "bad."
I personally don't enjoy listening to the type of music that you mentioned, but I know people who do.

Yeah, I choose to not even listen or look at those things. They're fake. It's amazing what makeup can do.

Firstly, you can't really define something "bad". Everyone has their own standards for bad and good for everything. Sometimes people may not sing well, but it may actually sound good on a song, but I don't think I listen to anything like that.

Although you cannot really define bad, you can define what singing is, and screaming swear words to a 'tune' is not singing.

I defined my opinion of bad music as music which has no inspiration, meaning, or doesn't show the artists talent/skill. Ordinary people who don't have ANY musical talent, but so many people think they are talented and good singers/musicians. That is sad.
