Network Maintenance: The AU Roadtrip

Good morning, Australian Tributes!

Today, 22nd January, 2015 (for the Aussies because they're in the future -- clearly America isn't as cool), Australia will be down for a couple of hours due to a network migration.

Short of the full details and story behind the move, the servers are literally being driven to Sydney from a city roughly two hours away (or in latency terms, 2 - 3ms away).
We hope that with this migration, we will see less downtime and connectivity troubles in Australia, and better performance, latency, and all around playability.

For now, we recommend playing on us.mcgamer.net or using play.mcgamer.net -- it'll take you to the closest online network to you.

Honestly, literally taking the servers out of the rack and driving them to the new datacenter is probably the most awesome server migration technique I've ever seen.

Considering we're not exactly in Australia (well, Rusty is, but he wouldn't want to volunteer for the task anyways), the datacenter techs are moving our servers, not us.
