100 threads today. It is a very rare achievement. The only person I know that has more threads is Mooclan The forums god. As you know my threads usually suck. I think quality is better than quantity even if I don't show it. Anyway so for this rare achievement I would like to have quick tags,
AGFire2013 rowing god TheLastGapple running god, Mooclan forums god Nirmit|NirmitPlays for being the best inspiration in my whole life. Imaboss2414|Rish for being cool CleverFalcon|Nicholas Foltin for being cool. Miner9823 for being cool. All I wanted to do is brag about my achievements. Nirmit|NirmitPlays for cricket god and rugby god.

It's really irritating - Many forum users think the longer a post is, the better. They also generally think that one is "intelligent" if one makes a long post.

Really, it's the opposite. Writing is clear and concise. Those who take up enormous amounts of unnecessary space actually lack the ability to compile and assemble their thoughts in an orderly and efficient manner.

if It can be explained in a simple manner why take lines and lines to do it right?

While that is your opinion, and you are perfectly entitled to it, I personally think that writing doesn't absolutely have to be that way. As is no secret, I favor longer, more detailed posts. That's simply my preference and style, and I make it very known - just like you make it very known that you are rather intolerant and critical of lengthy writing, or anything that you personally dislike. Or at least, that's how it appears from an outside point of view.

I understand that clear and concise writing does have many fair merits - Col_StaR, for one, prefers it as well. However, I learned to discuss and converse with details and thorough explanations, or at least my best attempts at it.
One thing that I noticed was that people who are in a position of direct authority are able to, and often do, say something and expect people to accept it. On the other hand, for all but the past week of my time as a writing and debate enthusiast, I was just a regular member. Thus I had to prove my points or overwhelm the opposing parties using whatever was available to me, even if it meant being more lengthy. And over time, that simply became my style, until I simply wrote what could be considered excessively lengthy without even taking much notice of it.

My goodness >_> I've already gone and done it again. Silly me.

But is length actually style?

When I think of style, I imagine various implementations of writing conventions and rhetorical device usage. Length appears as nothing more than an attempt to emit a false sense of intelligence, logic, or validity (when arguing/persuading).

It reminds me of writers who attempt to implement larger, uncommon words into their writing to appear more knowledgeable/credible than they really are.

The following is written under the assumption that you are, in some form or another, directing some of your post to me, since I know that how I write is something that you dislike, and I'm already involved in this discussion.

If you've ever spoken to me in the past month in any sort of non-jesting situation, you'll probably know that I actually speak very similarly to how I write. I get told way too often that I sound like a professor.
But I'm not a professor, and I don't try to be. My grammar isn't perfect, but it's quite serviceable, especially for something that's aimed at teenagers talking about a video game network. I write the way that I speak, and I speak the way that I write. I value practical tone over grammatical perfection, and so far it has worked out quite decently for me.

You can call it a false sense of intelligence, but I think of it as a way to strike an impression upon those that it's directed at. Am I using the words correctly? Yes. Am I conveying my message properly? As far as I know, the answer to that is "Yes," as well.
So unless you've stooped to disguising a shot at my intellect with fancy words, which I rather doubt but would not be entirely surprised at, I think that you may benefit in the long-run from accepting that your method is not the only method. When it boils down to personal preference and what is appropriate or not, nit-picking will get neither of us anywhere.

And for the record-books, I've actually put skills obtained from posting to real-life use. I was able to get my teacher to request - against school policy - for me to be moved up into a more advanced class, and then went on to convince the grade administrator to agree - again, despite strict school policies and announcements.
So, I hardly think that what I do is false or incorrect. It's simply that it does not follow your perfectionist ideals.

Interesting assumption - While I did not specifically call you out on all of those above things, I do notice your haste in defending and justifying your actions. Only an individual who feels insecure about their stance must go to such desperate measures.

Anyhow, I think it's fantastic that you attempt to practice and use educated speech in the real world. I do too. I don't understand the need to mention grammar, as this is a pure case of length, clutter, and overcomplication.

"You can call it a false sense of intelligence, but I think of it as a way to strike an impression upon those it's directed at."
Exactly - It's an easy and relatively effective way to give an impression upon others whether or not the impression is indicative of actual ability. You might be conveying a message in your eyes, but I, with no doubt, claim that many don't fully read or understand your posts - Hence the comments which contribute nothing to the actual topic e.g. "Wow, look, it's the new G33ke! That wall of text though!"

I'm aware I can call it a false sense of intelligence. That's why I did.

"I think that you may benefit in the long-run from accepting that your method is not the only method"

I'm glad you're thinking about my best interests. However, I'm fully aware that my method is not the only method. If that were the case, it would be impossible to have this discussion. Multiple "methods" allows a particular "method" to be better.

Writing with clarity and concision is the better method in the professional and academic world. It just is.

The "record-books" may have records, but the validity or cause of those records is highly questionable.
"I've actually put skills obtained from posting to real-life use."
To start, you don't gain skill from posting - To make a great post, you have to already possess the ability to do so. To gain skill in writing, you either have to study the English language as provided by a credible academic course and/or be criticized by those who have. I, to an extent, am doing so right now.
