Last time I checked, the 3 strike policy on mod apps has been revoked, however I could be wrong so don't quote me on this c;

If you want to be active, I can't say much besides advising you to.. Well.. Be active! Ahaha. Simply go around the forums, post a lot of messages, get to know the community better and get familiarize yourself better with how everything works.

Keep in mind, also, that your intentions are rather important. You have to want the position, as well as wanting to help the community. Best of luck!
i get everything except the familiarize yourself better with how everything works part could you elaborate a little please?

well maxwill, you see the only way to beat the system is to not apply and be happy in the real world where everything matters

By familiarize I simple mean that you have to experience all we have to offer. Play tons of MCSG, be active on the forums to understand the proper forum etequitte and the preferred way to go about things and understand how our TS works. Seeing as you say you've been playing for 2 and 1/2 years, you should already have a significant understanding of the system, so I'd expect you to be okay in that aspect.

Also keep in mind that in order to help others with issues or questions, you must know answers to all basic questions and common issues, so just read up on the guides in Community Guides/General Support.

Once you feel you are ready, fire away and apply and if the Sr. Staff think you're ready, ya did something right c:

The best thing to do is to be determined. Try enforcing the rules in game, replying to General Support threads, and positively changing the community to make it a better place. If they see value in what you are trying to accomplish, it will most definitely help.

Let me tell you a bit of my story to try and inspire you to reapply.

You see, I joined* the community as Equalitee on May 21, 2014, applied on May 22, got pending on May 24, got interview on May 26, had my interview on June 16 and got Moderator that day. However, I resigned on September 22, for personal reasons. I reapplied on January 15, 2015, got pending on January 15, and got denied on January 18. How, just like you, between September and January, I haven't been the best person. I had anger issues, trust issues, and I ultimately blamed others for my actions. I was wrong. I was the only one to be blame for my actions. Despite the let down, my mains goals continue to be to continue to reduce the amount of personal abuse, to continue to make a positive impact, to continue to make strong, friendly relationships between the staff and the community, to continue to give back to the community in appreciation for giving me the best memorable moments of my life, and to continue from where I left off when I resigned from Moderator in September. As I mentioned before, between September and January, I had my most depressing moments and let-downs within the community, but is it the people, my friends, within the community who have pushed me right back up. The ones who cared, loved and supported me through those moments and let-downs. And with this, in which I strongly recommend you watch, I share with you two videos that have also helped me find my way in hopes that you yourself can rise to happiness and determination once again,

Also, in addition to what Moose said,

All in all, you are the only thing setting you apart from your dreams. “It ain’t about how hard you’re hit. It’s about how hard you can get hit, and keep moving forward.” You must trust yourself. You must follow your heart. You must break the rules or you will never be able to find yourself as a unique person. You must fail in order to succeed. Do not listen to anyone but yourself. It is your life. Your journey to be lived. You must work hard. You must give back to those who gave something to you. “Because believing what the dots connect down the road, will give the confidence to follow your heart. Even when it leads you off the well-worn path and that will make all the difference.” You must not lose faith. You must love what you do. You must not settle for anything less than your dreams. You must be thankful and grateful for everything that you have.

I wish you the best of luck in your future applications!

Hi Maxwill!
Let me assure you first off, that the rumor about getting denied 3 times is most definitely false. I can tell you from personal experience, It took me 11 applications before I finally got mod.

This being said, I recognize your frustration and know exactly how it feels. I felt like this every time my application got denied, but I pushed on and kept trying.

That is what I would recommend you do. If you really feel like you are a fit for a moderator position, by all means. KEEP TRYING! :D

Keep improving you application more and more, the better the application, the better the chance, you know?

Just to end of this post with a motivational quote that I find appropriate in these situations:

"Why do we fall?
So that We can learn to Get UP."

Yes, that may be true, but I am still here, making a difference aren't I? And as I said, I was going through a rough time, but that has all changed now.
