Hello! My name is Akash, or akash754, you may have seen my name scattered around here or there on the forums, and I decided to finally post something seriously and put time and effort into it..so here I go.
This is my Minecraft story!
Late 2012: I live south of the capital of Minnesota, I’m Indian but lived in Minnesota my entire life. My first experience with Minecraft, as a 5th grader. I just didn’t get Minecraft, and one of my best friend mariopufy64, or Carson loved it, I just did not understand the game. “Pixelated?” “You hacked a tree with your fist!?” I’d ask him. The only thing the gamers in my school talked about was Minecraft, and I really didn’t like, although I never had played the game before. Only around May I had a sleepover with Carson and he told me I had to try the game..(at this point we only played on the Xbox 360 version) we made random stuff in creative mode, flying around a lot, I didn’t like the game much. One month later, my friends house, Saketh, we had about 5 people there they all started to play Minecraft. All I remember is a huge volcano and he asked me if I wanted to play, interested I said “Sure.” It was the first time I played minecraft, and I enjoyed it. We started fighting each other, exploring the terrain and it was pretty awesome, the only game I ever played before that were on my Nintendo DS and Wii, so this Minecraft game was all new to me.
Christmas 2012: I got a Xbox 360 and Minecraft. I finally had the game. I played, for hours and hours, with the help of my brother, I had my first successful survival world, a nice wooden house with a flat plains biome and a village. Fun Fact: I dug straight down below my house and fell right into a huge stronghold, where I found my first Diamond.
August 2013: My friend got me Minecraft for PC. It was amazing. I started survival worlds with all new items and blocks, it created a new zest to play Minecraft. I still hadn’t touched the mystical ‘Multiplayer’ button and had no idea what wonders it had in store for me.
October 2013: Finally my friend Sanketh, aka SulfonicGem2216 aka sankethpremdas. Gave me a ip: us.mcgamer.net. I played Survival Games and..guess what? I sucked, I got 15 fps tops and couldn’t kill person if he was standing in front of me, waiting.
December 2013: I still sucked, but then I realized something, I had my render distance on 16 and had most of my settings really high. I changed everything and got around 25, not bad. Then, I got Optifine. It was amazing! I could finally play and attack people without spazzing out and lagging. Too bad my stats were 0/750 at that point. No going back now.
October 2014: It’s been one year, now. I joined the forums. Got good at PvP, got Iron Donor on 9/12 for my birthday (August 22). I still love MCGamer and have no plans on quitting this wonderful experience. I think this is only the beginning for me here in the servers.
