If a signature is too long, admins can remove them; however, I do think that it should be cited in the rules. I'll message an admin/Chad.

I think it's better if you put in spoilers, but honestly i don't mind unless they take up a hugggge amount of space. What annoys me is when someone puts about 30 of their kills in their signature. If you wanna do this please use a spoiler ;-;

Personally, I enjoy looking at signatures and lengthy ones aren't a bother. Although, if it's too long staff will just remove it (as stated above).

I hate signatures.

There is already a limit. If your signature is against the rules or too long a Sr. staff should edit it. c:

I really do think there should be some sort of limitation for Signatures. Although it enables people to express there interests, facts about themselves etc. Some can be very long. I have seen some Signatures that can run almost down half the page and it really clogs up and floods a discussion. Although, on mobile devices you cannot see the signatures, so if you would like some sort of temporary getaway from them you may switch to you mobile device.

How to resolve the issue?
I believe we can resolve the issue by simply having a barrier put in, or some sort of rule implemented. I don't want to limit the signature space massively, I just think it would help it there was a limit.

As I had stated; there could be a rule implemented. I have noticed that many of these 'massive signatures' seem to be compiled of mainly gifs. If we were to implement a rule to 2/3 gifs per signature. I feel that the forums would be a lot less clustered.

Anyway, this is just my view on the subject. >.>

I completely agree, and recently I have been ASKING people to shorten their signatures in PMs. I capitalised asking because that is all I can do, there is no rule against it so we cannot tell them to shorten it, and moreover even if we did tell them we could not back this up with a punishment as that would be an unjust ban.

I think my main point is that this is just one individual point that is highlighting a much larger issue on the forums, but rest assured I will continue to ask people to shorten their signatures where possible, and I encourage others to do this too, moderators or not.

As for a solution? Well. Erm. No sorry I actually can't think of one. It's too specific of a situation in that the limitations for it are endless with endless amounts of different media that if a line is drawn it could become blurred.

Instead, maybe their should be a "turn off signatures" option in the settings?

Forum Rules:
11. No ridiculously long signatures: If your forum signature is long enough to bother users, you will be asked by a staff member to shorten it. However, if you put long parts of your signature in a spoiler, you won't have to worry about this.

Like it? This is the rule I propose to make it clear that super long signatures aren't allowed. Hopefully it will be added to the official rules.

It would be a good idea to have this added into the official rules page because it's been an unspoken rule for the longest time. We're currently discussing many things regarding rule changes so this may be added into that c:

A current annoyance on the forums is lengthy signatures. These messages tend to fill up the whole page with random things that could be put in a spoiler.

So I thought, what if there were some limits on how long of a signature you could have outside of spoilers or links? How would we enforce these limits?

Discussion time!
Yeah there should, cause people put huge images that take up half the thread.

In my opinion, I don't think so. Signatures allow others to express their creativity.

Edit: In addition to what TheMangoTiger said, spoilers are like a forumer's best friend.
