Opinions on the community...

The MCSG server is a great server in my opinion. But something that takes away from the good gameplay on the server is the community... I hate to say it but frankly the MCSG community, at this moment, sucks. A majority of the players are disrespectful and rude. There are also A LOT of hackers and teamers. I know teaming is allowed but I can never get into a game without a team. This is the same about the hackers. There are so many hackers that I don't think I would have enough computer space to record all of the hackers I see. The MCSG community really disappoints me and I hope it gets better. I do realize this is only a game but who wants to get on a server to be disrespected, harassed, hacked on, and teamed on by like 7 people.

If anyone has opinions on the server's community feel free to share them with me. Please don't respond with "You can always record and report the hackers and rude people" because I'm tired of seeing that. Who wants to spend time recording and reporting people when the server should do something about it themselves. Who knows... MCSG might be coming up with a fantastic no-hackers plug-in as we speak!

My views on the community change from time to time but this is my view at this moment in time.

Many people often complain about the community itself, but it's almost always just complaining about hackers, teams and toxic players. They have no real justification as to why they are complaining about them and why those three subjects ruin the community, the only reason they can provide is that 'they just do...'. It really frustrates me when I see this as I know how easy it is to deal with them. If only people looked past them three subjects and saw the brighter sides of things. They'd appreciate the work and effort people have put into this server to make it what it is today.

Teaming:
Ever since this community started there has been teams, and only now do people start complaining about it. Why? Because as this community grows, so does the competitive-side of it too. People want to win. Therefore a team or a hacker is most likely putting their chances of winning at strife. I joined in BETA. The community was fine, teaming was okay. A lot of people only played for fun. But I see this side of the community slowly fading away. I'm not complaining, the community as it is now if completely fine in my eyes. I tend to like it if there is a team in my game too, it makes it more fun and challenging.

Hackers:
Hackers are always going to be a problem, as the community was smaller before. A very small amount of hackers were roaming around these servers. As the community grows, with over 3 million users that have joined the servers since MCSG began. It gives an illusion that the number of hackers are growing too, that is inevitable. You know what we can do though. We can work together as a community and help reduce the number of hackers. With Operation Cleansweep running. Numbers should be dying down a bit. But if we all pitched in and recorded hackers ourselves rather than relying on Staff to do all the work. It would be a lot easier.

So in conclusion, not all of our problems can be fixed, but a lot can. If we all helped out each other, we could achieve a lot more than we are now. This is my view on this subject and I am just going to tag Mooclan so that he can give his side to it too.

I think the community is ruined by trolls, try-hards, more then 2 teams and hackers.

Trolls always blame you for something and then try to find a way to harass you about some tiny thing such as your IGN or playing style. Harassment is bannable but nobody wants to go around banning half the MCGamer community.

Try-hards are annoying when all they do is play-to-win, but face it, most people want good stats, but the level they try is over the top for Minecraft. Especially when they can't accept that they lost and immediately say "Hacks" or "Ping".

Teamers are fine unless they are above 2-3 members. I my self and many others have teamed because it's more fun to play with friends. I think this is fine unless you're boosting (Tryharding). I think the idea of a "Solo Only" server is awesome and I would love to see them in the future. I believe the maximum team size should be limited to 4-5.

Hackers are just ridiculous. Using fake skill to gets fake wins to make themselves feel better about themselves. Hackers will always be around no matter what. It's just the way it's going to be :/

Super what can I give you, you literally just spoke the words of wisdom about MCG. You are so true about every thing that was said. The hackers on MCG US are getting worse every day and they need a new plugin to get rid of some hackers like Badlion *cough cough when is US clean sweep... never* and teamers are something we are going to have to deal with but when I get targeted and tryharded by a team of 3 boosters then yeah I get mad. Lastly the "eZ" thing is really annoying unless its a 4 team and you kill them then thats a nice thing to say... xD. But you just basically summed up the Community. - In my Signature you can also see "most" of the people I have screenshotted that I have found being disrespectful, many of those were teams and hackers that killed me and felt the need to say it.

I have honestly had no problem with the community to be honest. I haven't ran into many people who I can tell are hackers,I haven't had ddos threats,and trolls are easy to deal with. However if you are seeing a team of 4-5 then it is probably a stream team(which I took part in 1 today) or a clan(which I will never take part in).

One last thing I can say is that many people complain about the staff not doing their job but they do. My only problem with that is I see 1-2 staff members every 20-30 games and usually its the same mods in there anyways.
