NCP Issue...

I really hate to do this, but I think it's time I made a thread.
This is a link to a github thread a made around a month and a half ago. It's about a problem with the NCP that randomly makes it totally impossible to hit an opponent.
Proof:

After I made the thread, this continued to happen. I attempted to bump the thread and also reported it again, but both times I was immediately shot down by the dev team. This doesn't happen to me on any other server, my ping is around 60 and I get no lag, and it causes me to die nearly every time it happens.

Just recently, another person posted on the thread saying he experienced the same problem. I understand that the dev team does important work, and that they work really hard, but this is a bug that causes me (and others) to automatically lose one out of every 5-6 games. Last night, I lost in dm to a guy with a stone sword because of this (when I was full iron dia sword).

at 0:08 in the 2nd video you started to rubber band. I think it's caused by your player being in a different position on the server then on your screen. Do you lag often? What mods do you have installed? Does this only happen when you record?

*EDIT* This is a glitch caused by block hitting and the server not registering it. It can be fixed by blocking your sword again or scrolling off / back onto your sword.

I would agree, expect that never happens in the first video, I have good internet and never ghost, and in both videos I could hit normally right beforehand.

I'm sorry i can't really help you any further because i have no idea what could possibly be causing this. I suggest trying to re create it and have a friend watch / record you and see what it looks like you're doing on their screen.

Yes, this glitch is a thing. I get 48 MS to the server and still deal with this glitch. The whereabouts of this glitch, I don't know them. The glitch is definitely annoying. I can see this glitch happening maybe because of the server being compatible with both 1.7 and 1.8 as 1.8 has different PVP mechanics over 1.7.

This is an old glitch that is caused when blockhitting by the server not registering that you've stopped blocking. Blocking again fixes this glitch.

This precisely. Scrolling off and then back onto your sword will also help.
