With permission from Col_StaR, we bring you the Unofficial AU Cleansweep
Hello!

If you know, I am an avid AU player. I am in an AU clan, and honestly enjoy it a lot. Recently, we have seen quite an increase of hackers on AU MCGamer servers. For that reason, we will be hosting this unofficial Cleansweep (We, as in regular nonranked members) to help maintain hacker levels on the AU MCGamer to try and fix what we love. We need to take a part in this, to help the staff, and take one step closer to a better community, and better servers.

How will they work Tiger?
The first week (next week) will be an investigation week, and we will study hacker timings on AU servers. Also, feel free to tell us the time below, but give the time format in GMT. At these times, my teamspeak (overwolf-45yy.typefrag.com) will be used until I can get a dedicated TeamSpeak for the cleansweeps itself. On the hacker times, players will go on the TeamSpeak, and begin moving from server to server catching hackers, and we will keep track in a spreadsheet, with all information, and if all goes accordingly, we will be sending it to a staff member to look at it and treat the hackers successfully (that is if no Mods are in the cleansweep with us).

How will we know the results?
I will be making a thread weekly taking a look at the results, and putting them here. The only information to be disclosed are Thank-Yous for participants, number of hackers banned per session, and total number of hackers.

Keep in mind that to join, much similar to the EU Cleansweep, you must agree to this:
By joining the AU Cleansweep, you agree that you will actively participate in catching hackers on the AU network and that you will not be found breaking any of the MCGamer rules which can be found at http://mcgamer.info.

Violating these rules will get you treated normally. It being a cleansweep has no total difference.

Frequently Asked Questions
Question: Will the Cleansweep ever end?
Answer: The operation will continue as long as it is needed. If there is ever a point when the amount of
hackers on AU is low, it may end, but it will start as soon as the hacker problem is present again.

Question: Do I have to talk?
Answer: No, you don't have to talk, but you can if you'd like.

Question: Do I have to record?
Answer: Yes, we are only allowing those who can record to join; however, if you want to help out, you can still message us people you suspect are hacking.

Question: Is there a US or EU Cleansweep?
Answer: Don't worry, the other regions will not be neglected. Currently, the staff are testing other solutions for each region. There is an EU cleansweep, which can be found here:
http://www.minecraftsurvivalgames.com/threads/operation-clean-sweep.141890/

Question: Why do you post all the times when hackers can see it?
Answer: Most hackers will not check the forums, and won't even know that we are there. In addition, we do impromptu Cleansweeps as well.

Have a wonderful rest of your week!
~Tiger

This will not be live until we have enough staff to lead Cleansweeps without me. I am an EU player, so I will try my best to be online, even if it is the early morning for me.
Below are important people who would like to see this.
Remember, shoot me a PM if you can host the Cleansweeps.

Generally, EU has more hackers online than AU. However, this is certainly a decent idea, and I have heard from people that more people in the AU region are more competitive to an extent where others abuse one another. I could recommend watching chat as well as we go for looking for hackers.
Unfortunately for me, I still have an odd time-zone, which will be difficult for me to participate without having to stay up late, or all night.
Also, due to where I am located at the moment, being at AU will cause a vast amount of lag, so it would be more difficult to record hackers. But if any way possible, I'll be happy to participate. :)

Also, if this does not get enough people to see it, etc.. I will call it off.

I was wondering about this earlier today, I then proceeded to ask KitMencha about how the idea seemed. He said; 'In regards to an AU Cleansweep. I proposed the idea a little bit ago but the idea was turned down. Hacking doesn't seem to be AU's main issue, it's the toxicity of the community. We're still thinking about how to solve said issue.'

Now I personally agree with that statement, the other region's have a lot more hackers in them. I feel they need to be attended to first before us, a US Cleansweep is very much a priority it seems, and I am happy with that. At this point in time, I believe the AU community can deal with hackers as a minor problem and it is able to be contained.

I am an EU player, and that is why I will need to try hard to make it.

I will make a US and CA variation of this.
I really like the idea, but the peak times are at 6:00AM for me, and it just isn't possible. Also, I would recommend leaving the US Cleansweep to the staff. It's currently being worked on, and organizing it will take a lot of work, especially since US is our largest region.

On the other hand, glad to see that one of these is starting up! Really hope lots of people participate in this! :)

And then there is me, and EU player leading an AU cleansweep. I love my life.

During said cleansweeps, we will keep a large eye on toxicity. We will also add them to the document.
