So, I promised Zaex (*cough cough, Baex) a Christmas story about his favorite character, Garen.
Due to my MLG PROcrastinating skills, I had very little time to write the story, and combined with multiple annoyances (my mom) and distractions (aka talking to PeachyZeZe07 and AGFire2013) I had even less time with which I could write. Due to this... Sorry, Zane, but the story is kind of bad and incredibly rushed. ;-; I promise if I find more time and remember and have motivation (three things which happen, just not at the same time), I'll re-write it <3
Stepping onto the stone platform, he struck a pose. An absurd, flashy pose... but a pose nonetheless. One that was intended to strike fear into the hearts of those who opposed him, and yet went unseen due to the all-encompassing Fog of War.
Garen. The Might of Demacia, the head of the Dauntless Vanguard, and one of the most respected warriors in all of Valoran.
Followed by his comrades, he flew upon enchanted boots out of his base, and towards the Baron pit.
Dashing through the jungle, in and out of bushes, he left a trail of wards for his comrades to follow him by. Ever since joining the League, he had been keeping an accurate count of how many wards he placed down in his journeys. Running into a bush, he placed another ward, but ran into an unexpected sight.
“Seven thousand and two… oh, I didn’t see you there,” Garen said, caught off-guard by Katarina, who blinked into sight, followed shortly after by Darius.
Sprinting in a different direction, he flashed over a wall to dodge Darius’ axe, only to find himself sitting in the pit that was also home to the recreation of Baron Nashor. With his sword already in motion, he brought it down to a resting position, which just so happened to hit… and kill… the Baron Nashor. Looking up from the corpse, he found himself staring into the eyes of Swain, Urgot, and Warwick, the latter of which had their Smite prepared.
With excessive courage, or perhaps foolishness, he shrugged and thundered, “For Demacia!” and charged between them, spinning his sword around as he went.
Reaching a large swath of grass, he parted the greenery, only to be blinded by an intense light.
“Garen, you fat oaf!” Lux, Garen’s sister, exclaimed. “But thanks for the buff, I guess!”
Stepping away from any potential burns, both physical and verbal, Garen went back and quietly greeted his teammates before returning to the location where he last saw his enemies, with his health regenerated thanks to his natural, passive abilities. Sona placed down a vision ward, and caught sight of the entire enemy team.
Charging down the river, the five Demacians engaged the five Noxians, in a clash of wills that will forever be remembered as historic, though the details are yet lost.
But it'd be pretty darn pointless if I literally created a thread for the sake of this present, eh wot?
So, here's a quick thank-you to some of the other people who have made my winter break wonderful.
@AGFire - Despite the weird boat stuff, it's been a pleasure knowing you. Have a great time in England!
PeachyZeZe07 - Even though we just met recently, you seem like a fairly nice person. Sorry for ranting to you all the time, but there might still be more to come! ;-;
