survival games tips

one thing i learned from playing with friends is good spots to hide, where good loot is, and the best areas to attack. So I recommend a few things. (note these tips aren't only for combat but in general survival games overall)

1. don't work in groups, they are more likely going to stab you in the back after a while.
2. get a general lay of the land (spectating is the best way)
3. don't whine about people using hacks when someone kills you. (it is really annoying)
4. be polite, don't spam profane language and insults at someone for killing you. be a good sport, tell them it was a good kill or something.
5. figure out where people are most likely to go and go the opposite direction, (increases chance of finding loot in chests and being killed.
6. don't use mods/hacks (they may work at first but in the end they will come back to get you)
7. don't expect win in a fight you can win (don't run into a free-for-all with just your fist when everyone else has armor and swords)
8. be smart (if you see a chest don't go straight to it if you know people are following you, take a different route to it)
9. don't combat log
10. practice parkore/ e.g jumping tree to tree (good way to pass time when spectating)
11. don't take risks if you don't think you can do it (you'll probably kill your self)
12. don't trust anyone
13. kill on sight (unless you are in tips 7 position)
14. don't act high and mighty till you win (you never know if there is a bigger fish)
15. don't try to break rules (you will probably get killed while doing so, either way you can't because of the plugin)
16. after a game don't whine at your team mate who just betrayed you to win
17. when fighting alone against a team, wait for them to turn on each other then come in and finish them off.
18. travel by trees if possible (makes it harder of them to hit you)
19. practice with a bow and learn the drop rate and how to snipe with the bow
20. have fun (most important rule, it is a game after all)
21. fishing rods cut off sprint

one rule i use to follow is only team with people you are talking with via skype or teamspeak

Got a tip of my own. When you're up alone against a team camping at the cornucopia, don't start a fight. Just stalk them. If they're camping, they'll most likely get bored and go out hunting for you. Your gear will probably be worse than theirs, so not getting the drop on them (which the wide-open area of the cornucopia generally doesn't allow) might cost you your life. Another thing is that you most likely will lose if you fight the whole team at once, so stalk them until they split up.

-More than likely it was because you did not locate chests efficiently.

• Craft a sword as soon as you have two pieces of metal and a stick.
  Make mushroom stew.

Just had an exhilarating experience in the Games and these tips came into play

I was undergeared (leather armor, iron sword) and a team of 2 were camping the corn after refill, obtaining nearly full iron and 1 diamond sword. I was hopping tree to tree and they came after me, so I ran around a sky scraper or two and lost em. Later on in the night, I sneak back to the corn in the trees, avoiding line of sight with the 2 Careers. One eventually runs off (probably into the Village for more chests), leaving the diamond sword guy by himself.

• Get to a higher Y coordinate than your opponent. Fall damage can kill.

The diamond sword/full iron armor guy came after me, I was in the tallest tree at the corn. As he was climbing the vines up to me, I jump hit him off the tree and he got crit hit + fall damage, then tried climbing up a different set of vines where I hit him with 2 fully charged bow shots. He was camping under my tree trying to regain health, but I quickly jumped down and killed him in 2 swift sword strikes.

Deathmatch starts, and I have a diamond sword, but only a few hearts. I kite the other guy for 3 fully charged shots and he's running away with a Golden apple, healing himself - that's when I sprint towards him like a mad man, striking 4-5 times with no remorse and killing him.

I won the game!

Also, having a couple bowls + mushrooms are extremely handy. You basically have unlimited mushroom stew as the bowls just keep recycling and mushrooms are very easy to come by!

i had a iron sword and no armor, the oppent had iron and gold full armor. he lasted 30 second and did only 2 and half hearts of damage because he was unarmed. the sooner you kill the better, because that will get you stuff. and also refer to tip number 7 and 13 for more info
