^I'm pretty sure they would be rewarded after a moderator confirms the ban report. They wouldn't get awarded immediately :0.

If this rule goes into effect I'll be one of the first ones banned, anyone who remotely looks like they're hacking will be reported for the "reward"You have no idea how this is going to turn out, rewarding people usually pays off, and if MCGamer can spare the reward they absolutely should start doing this. Kind of stupid to compare such a subject to communism, considering it has absolutely nothing to do with this subject.
Thing is, reporting a hacker is a very social and nice thing to do, since the hacker you are getting banned is extremely likely to ruin 100s of other players' games. When you prevent such a thing, you deserve acknowledgement for your help, MCGamer should indeed reward these people by giving them something of value or something that feels like it carries any value (capes, outfits, etc). Also having a record of the amount of players this person has succesfully reported should be importance, since it's official ad it will make the person reporting these people more acknowledged or proud of his help.
But if you truly want to encourage people to do something it should be by offering money, money has always proven the number 1 motivator and people will start being a good social asset to this community. It really doesn't have to be much, probably $0,10 would already do would do an amazing job. I know some people will instantly think that this won't be profitable for MCGamer, but really, most of the new SG Players will go to the best server, if MCGamer has the least amount of hackers the majority will go to MCGamer.
Besides, even if someone bans 10 players a day he would only get $1, ofcourse the amount of money per ban is debatable.
If you haven't been banned yet what makes you think you will be banned now?If this rule goes into effect I'll be one of the first ones banned, anyone who remotely looks like they're hacking will be reported for the "reward"
Let me show you something.
It'll happen..If you haven't been banned yet what makes you think you will be banned now?
Thing you don't seem to understand is, mods make mistakes. Sure there are people out there who can't see the difference between skills and hacks so there are bad reports, it is not a certainty however, that people who play well or have good ping "will" get banned because of the reward. Like honestly, you can't just state that you are going to get banned like that. There are a lot of incompetent mods out there, and I've experienced it first hand but the amount of reports of innocent players will increase just as much as the amount of reports of hackers. So the unfairness won't increase, there needs to be a different solution for that.If this rule goes into effect I'll be one of the first ones banned, anyone who remotely looks like they're hacking will be reported for the "reward"

The mods just add points, I mean they do not have to tell them how long they were banned for.The only cons I can see are:
Other than these, I can't see anything going bad.
- Moderators are not prohibited to tell whether or not the user has been punished, which makes it difficult. How can you give someone points without telling them the punishment?
- False reports, and lots of them.
The thing is, I don't think they can even say if the person was punished. Adding points would indicate they were. The mods just add points, I mean they do not have to tell them how long they were banned for.
Yes, you can even tell if a person is punished by looking them up on the leaderboards silly .The thing is, I don't think they can even say if the person was punished. Adding points would indicate they were.
That is exactly my point of view.I think this is a great idea. Some tweaks could be made but all in all it could work. Users often complain about hackers, blaming it on the mods, admins, owners and developers but don't actually help them out themselves. Users need to start helping and stop complaining. Rewards may give people a reason to actually do something for their community.
