***I wanted to preface this thread by saying that the point of what I am about to write is not to get angry at or critical off the MCGamer staff, rather, its purpose is to simply serve as a means of raising awareness for a real and current problem.

It is important to start out by saying that I have somewhat returned from a gaming break that lasted around 3 months. While I am not completely back into the "groove", I have been able to play a couple of games and the only thing I continue to notice is the amount of hackers. I have been playing on these servers long enough (3 years this spring) to know what is a "normal" amount of hackers. I also know that the MCGamer staff has always and will always work as hard as they are able, so I am blaming no one. I simply wanted to state that I think it is problematic to run into a hacker every single game.

I attribute this to the chaos that has stemmed from the recent release of MCGamer v2 and that priorities lie in other places for the time being; however, I thought it might be good to raise awareness nonetheless. I am sure it will slow down once everything gets back into rhythm, but any staff reading this should be aware that there is most definitely an unusual amount of hackers participating in these servers.

Lastly, I want to be clear that this is not your stereotypical "OMG MCGAMER STAFF SUCKS, TOO MANY HACKERS" thread. Simply a thread to raise awareness of a problem. A problem I am sure the staff already knows about, but, if not, here you go.

Thanks! Even if this thread ends up meaning nothing, I hope that anyone who does read it (especially staff) may take a closer look into fixing issue, that, in my 2.5 years here, I feel is unprecedented.

I like the fact that you brought up how long you have been in the community and how it is not a "normal" amount of hackers rather than;

"OMG STAFF BAN ALL THE HACKERS, IM DONE"

Thank you for this thread. ^_^

Simple thread that serves it's purpose, I like it. Raising awareness and with no blame. I think players who care about the community should look to reportas many hackers as they can! I've almost reported 20 these past few months. What is everybody's thoughts that most reports in a month or week should recive a badge, or a iron Donnor! Somthing for their hard work going out of their way when it's not in fact a job meant for them. It would also motivate people into making the extra effort to record, go through the process of uploading and filing a report abuse and helping to keep the server clean :D

I appreciate the fact you don't blame anyone, and the thread is maturely written, it makes a pleasant change to most hacker complaint threads we've been seeing recently.

As has been said many times, we're working on the hacker issue as best as we can, through hacker clean sweeps, a new anti-cheat system which I personally think is doing a great job, and increased moderator activity. Reporting of hackers is greatly appreciated and a help to the removal of hackers from the servers.

I think this is a good idea. If we can set up a way to measure the amount of threads in the report abuse sections a player creates, such a system could be set up and really motivate more people to record and report hackers. Maybe post a more detailed thread about the idea, it'd create some great discussion and put the idea out there for the future.
