Hello everyone, I'm here today to talk about the new update for MCGamer and to cast my views and opinions on the subject.

I think the update is amazing.

I don't understand why people actually have a problem with it; It's smooth (There's a little lag here and there, but it's being worked on), there's a new anti-cheat, the new Hub looks awesome and I love the feel of the new Survival Games lobby; brings back memories of the Beta days...

On my Skype homepage I have been seeing a ton of negative attitudes towards MCGamer; I'll quote some of them.

  • "New lobby system is disgusting” - I don't see the problem, It's in-fact much better than before. For donors and non donors, all you need to do is click a beacon and click a green box – How is that a bad thing? Sure, playing with friends can get annoying, typing in a 4 digit code in ' /server ' but that is a known bug and is being kinked out right now as I type.

  • “Each MCG server only has 1gb now ...” - No more is needed for 24 players and a few Plugins, 1GB is more than enough memory. The MCGamer network has over 400 Servers; that's a lot of RAM, what do you want? 5 Gigs of dedicated RAM per server? That's uncanny.

  • “#rip mcsg / I miss the old mcsg” - No you don't. The MCSG we used to have was a server with bad anti-cheat, fewer game types and less usability. The new MCGamer offers so much more and I will get into that shortly. Second of all, NOTHING has changed in regards to the Survival Games servers; other than the lobby and the upcoming awesome leaderboard updates. Please don't spam this in the lobby like I see each time I log on. The MCGamer that I miss was the nostalgic, fun feel of beta/v1 – This feeling of fun and intensity is slowly making its way back to me in version 2; I am starting to enjoy MCGamer once again. This is the best thing to happen to MCGamer since 2012. No joke. You're just too afraid to see it.

The new and improved MCGamer has got some bugs and some quirks, but they are all being worked on by the hard-working developers; the EXACT reason they didn't introduce the leaderboard updates until they felt that the Plugin is stable and fun to play for everyone.

You can even help out with the bug fixes and you can also be nosey and take a look at all of the bugs for yourself here: (ADD LINK)

Why am I so passionate about this new update? Because you haven't given it a fair chance. You're scared for change, and you want to go back to an awful system (In comparison) instead of improving and making better. The new update has got so many amazing features for you to experience, The new maps, hubs, lobbies, gametypes... They even have a new incredible report feature that will inform a moderator as soon as possible to help you win your game against a rule breaker. The new gamemodes are very fun, they spice MCGamer up and make it feel like a whole new system.

There's a new anti-cheat, which was desperately needed, and MCGamer's doing everything it can for variety and amazing playable servers. WHY AREN'T YOU ALL EXCITED!?!?!?!

Long story short, I am optimistic for the update and want to help and thank each and every staff member, especially the devs, for what they have done; just sit back, relax, and help them make MCGamer for a better tommorow! Please, don't be disheartened bug. Each system has bugs, and the developers are doing an amazing job by handling and sorting out these problems for you! The players!

I'll add anything extra to this thread as needs be.

It's great knowing that more people are considering the hard work and effort the developers and the rest of the staff team have put for us to make the network even better.
I just do hope the hatred for change dies out soon enough, so we can all live in peace again. c:

I don't have anything against McGamer V2 itself, I think it will be amazing once it's fixed.
My problem is the way they released it. They hype everyone up for V2, only to present us this. Half the features of V2 aren't even implemented yet, and the other half is pretty much unplayable. They released something half-finished, and we don't even get a choice to go back. Like "Hey, deal with this so it's easier for us to fix some bugs and finish the project." In my opinion people have the right to be mad.
