Or you could just perm ban them first offence.
It sounds like a good idea, but we want to give hackers one final chance. If we don't give them a second chance, people would complain. We are in a situation in which whatever decision is made people will complain about.

But surely banning hackers first offence would make more people happy?

I have banned accounts on my IP that I didn't even get banned, people give away accounts, let friends play at their house, IP banning people will just cause problems
^ Also, people with brothers or sisters could get punished for their siblings making a mistake. Let alone changing IP's to get unbanned.

I don't know on that one. We would have to do a poll and find out. Col_StaR

I mean the only problems that I could see with perm -banning hackers first offence is false bans.

False bans are more rare than people make them seem, but yes some people might be banned by mistake.

The other problems are getting a lot more disputes, which makes people complain about not getting a reply quick enough and people who hack first offense not getting another chance.

I don't really agree with this. Quite often on these forums I have seen mods/ex-mods refer to hacking as murder. If you murder someone you don't get put in prison for 7 days and then given another chance, you would normally get 25-life.

This is the thread for you to share your concerns :D I also want to let you know that if you ever want us to watch a clan battle, I would love to :D
I didn't want staff getting involved with clans in the first place. I just wanted them to listen what we had to say.

I would never compare hacking to murder....

What do you have to say?

I would appreciate regular announcements of random rules every five minutes or so in the hub...
Ex:
*5 minutes passes*
"[MCGamer] Make sure you know the rules! Don't bypass the swear filter!"
*5 more minutes*
"[MCGamer] Don't forget to read the MCGamer rules! Block-Glitching is not allowed!"

^^ that'd be pretty awesome and a good way to raise awareness of the lesser-known rules.

This is an amazing idea, Moo! I'm sure this might stop a few rule breakers on the servers if they have not read the rules. They should also give a link to the rules sometimes. Maybe they can put in a reminder that you can do the commands such as: /rules and change that command to put a link to the rules, /apply, /report (i think that's one of them) for players that have less experience and want to know where they can go to get to certain things if there are no staff members online to help

my grammar in that paragraph sucked
