I would appreciate regular announcements of random rules every five minutes or so in the hub...
Ex:
*5 minutes passes*
"[MCGamer] Make sure you know the rules! Don't bypass the swear filter!"
*5 more minutes*
"[MCGamer] Don't forget to read the MCGamer rules! Block-Glitching is not allowed!"
^^ that'd be pretty awesome and a good way to raise awareness of the lesser-known rules.
Maybe we could add something where a book is in your inventory with all the rules, or something like creative. I don't know if you have been there, but every 3 minutes or so it goes "Please do not advertise your plot more than once per minute."I had the same idea as Mooclan. Like every 5 minutes the server announces each rules and it keeps repeating so people know what not to do.
I don't know if MCGamer has any intentions of limiting teams, but we might make some servers where teaming is disallowed.Honestly.. I think mcsg needs to finally make a max team limit.. i'm really getting tired of fighting 5 man teams... they are becoming more and more common.
Indeed. Right when I first got mod, I loved moderating TeamSpeak. After a while, more and more trolls come to TeamSpeak. I still enjoy moderating TeamSpeak, but it has got increasingly difficult. I can assure you we will be trying our hardest. We should really raise awareness in Teamspeak, although I haven't been there for ages, due to certain issues, my time in Teamspeak has been a little peculiar, because nearly every day I went on, I wouldn't have one session without someone bombarding me with saying, singing, or playing weird things. Also, there are a lot of trolls around who go around the chat rooms and going crazy on other people, when a moderator comes in to inspect the issue, the trolls would eventually start falsely accusing the victim of doing bad things, although they hadn't recorded it, and they don't have evidence to testify against the victim, it does tend to get pretty heated, and somewhat obnoxious. :c
Our devs are working on something to help limit trashtalking, but I cannot really say anything more than this.I think there should be some sort of plugin, where if you say r3kt, scrub etc u should be automatically kicked from the server.
I personally enjoy chilling out with you guys, except we do have to be serious times too. And, to be honest, the reason you don't see much staff in game is because we are in /d or in GameMaster (which makes us invisible).Meib make nabs banable, so only pvp gods can paly?!/?
No, but honestly, I've seen less trashtalking, which I'm superhappy about, hackers can be killed, teamers can be killed, I'm actually pretty happy about everything. Except for staff members I see ingame, they tend to be very serious and get pissed of for every joke, I really do hope I meet a chill mod sometime >>_ (--- (I really don't see Staff ingame, so it's not that big of an issue.
Edit: Kinda off topic, but I just thought about this, but targetting isn't bannable if you just chase a person off-corn once, is it? It's punishable only if you follow people from server to server, right? Could I please see the part of the rules where they talk about targetting as I didn't find it :3
I never thought about mods going arojnd in disguises, that seems possible.Maybe we could add something where a book is in your inventory with all the rules, or something like creative. Regarding targeting: If someone just follows you are a map, it isn't targeting. If someone is going server to server following you, it is targeting, which falls under the harassment rule.
If I remember rightly, which I do, you stated at the start of the game something along the lines of "Target Samson888" - That is what is punishable if you then do so, and attempt to target the player from the cornucopia. There is a difference between following through servers and following from corn, after saying you are going to target that player, both of which are punishable. If someone is following you in a game, NOT from corn, say... mid game - they are following you around because they want your stuff - that is what is not punishable.I never thought about mods going arojnd in disguises, that seems possible.
I remember in a game, loads of staff were getting samson888 's 1000th win, I said just that, following around the map isn't punishable, but mods and AmyGlitters were saying I'm wrong and told me to check the rules. This is what pisses me off too, mods thinking that they know the best because they have a red name, but it's funny how I know rules better than they do.
Everytime I see a mod ingame, they say that following around the map is bannable, which is plain stupid :/
Oh okay, did not know thisIf I remember rightly, which I do, you stated at the start of the game something along the lines of "Target Samson888" - That is what is punishable if you then do so, and attempt to target the player from the cornucopia.
See, this is what I don't like.AmyGlitters said:If I remember rightly, which I do
or meib u stop complain and aply!maybe make it so we actually recruit competent moderators
