Honestly, I don't really think that any of the things listed describe the "next step" of MCGamer. I think those are the current steps that we're taking, and we will soon reap the benefits of them. This includes the big update coming as well.

Speculating on what our next step will be is hard, because no one really knows what the future holds for us. A lot of good stuff came out of unexpected situations that we capitalized upon, and we got blindsided by a lot of bad stuff that we had to adapt to. I've felt that our community has a mixed culture in terms of being aggressive and reactive: we're aggressive with development thanks to Chad's oversight, but we're reactive on a community element because the community maintains its own stability and we only have to deal with incidents that throw it off.

But that being said, here's a few of the ideas that I've always heard tossed around and would like to see:
  • More non-competetive gametypes. A cooperative mode would be nice.
  • Regular community events and games. 1 per month at least.
  • Additional content on the MCG Youtube channel. I'm thinking regular shows like top 10 kills or builder-oriented content.
  • Building and mapping contests.
  • In-depth video tutorials on building, PvP, and reporting abuses.
  • Staff-Clan cooperation to help stop clan drama.
  • Dedicated clan leaderboards and a private clan battle server
  • A return of the AS region.
  • More cowbell
Also, Nirmit , gotta agree with everyone else regarding your posting habits. Take a breath and calm down...
It's always refreshing to hear information from a reliable source. The thing I love about the things you listed is they all draw the community together, except for maybe the video tutorials. I think that the drawing of the community together will reduce hackers and improve in-game etiquette over time. It's obvious that MCGamer has a lot of good things coming, and as long as the community learns to be a little more patient with what's coming and grateful for what we have, we will have a lot of fun.

The thing that caught my eye in that list was the bullet point about non-competitive gamemodes. My question is if the developers are open to ideas on stuff like that. I posted a thread a while ago about a completely new gamemode, but it got little attention. (Even though it took a lot of thought and seemed like an excellent idea) http://www.minecraftsurvivalgames.com/threads/original-mcg-gamemode-trapland.137706/ If nobody likes that, then I have other ideas for gamemodes that are cooperation-based. I simply don't know how open the developers are to suggestions.

If we are lacking good, original ideas, then simply ask the community. Someone is bound to have a good/creative idea.

Was actually a great idea.

I think the next step of MCGamer is when it finally adds the new network to the actual MCGamer network, and I am excited to when the new mini-games come out! :D
What you mean to say is finally fully rebranding MCSG into the MCGamer network. As I've mentioned before, all anyone cares about here is the survival games. Do you see people crawling over themselves to play SG classic, Zedchase and MCTF2? I didn't think so. Not to be glass-half-empty as I'm prone to be, but I've noticed even in the usual primetime MCSG hours, the U.S. hub still has a lot of SG servers as completely empty. I'll outline some steps I feel need to happen in order for the behind-schedule rebranding to be complete:

- MCGamer-related website banner
- Get a minigame to be as popular or more-so than SG (Battlegrounds can count but it's better if it doesn't)
- Hire P.R. specialist (Colonel Star)
- Hire marketing analyst/specialist to handle advertising and/or product management (someone with proper qualifications and who's actually good with numbers; not just any random person off the street)

I giggled a little bit when you mentioned in most of your examples "more money for Chad". Idk why, I mean it's obviously a plus because a wealthy Chad is a happy Chad (wat), but I still thought it was funny.

To be more related to the thread...

I see our next steps being taken in the right direction, and that is moving forward. We have little need to touch up meticulously on the details of things we've already improved, our main need is to keep our player base. With the release of MCGamer V2 coming soon, I'm sure that will be a driving factor toward that. As long as we go forward and maintain a positive attitude towards things, we should be good :)
Yeah this is how to do server maths More gamemodes=more players=more donations=more gamemodes and it is gonna go round and round
