**WARNING** Whine Post Incoming! =P

So the premium chats are usually okay, but is anyone else concerned about the unusually high number of trolls the MCGamer General and non-donor accessible chats have been getting? It seems like there's about 2-4 hours every day where there's a string of VPN-using soundboarders just waiting to drown out people's conversations. The HeyImBee Q&A session was disrupted thoroughly by trolls and forced MCGamer staff to mute everyone and take questions via a very very busy, hard-to-read-with-so-many-people chat. Questions were missed, the event wasn't run like an OMN and it left me feeling altogether dissatisfied.

If it's not soundboards and voice changers, it's people who randomly troll and make fun of IGNs. I personally would've liked to have gotten talk power to ask Bee one intellectual question, but can we have nice things when the trolls invade? Nope nope. I cry ever tim. ;-;

Someone boost my faith in the TS pls. The staff are probably even more annoyed with the amount of trolls pervading the non-donor TS chats than I am.

They'll always be there. No one has come up with a logical, easy to implement solution yet, and I doubt there will be one in the near future.

I must agree. The amount of trolls...

On Monday (Yesterday), I was literally able to livestream my interactions with trolls who came into the Recording Lounge that I was in.
A few days before that, I sat down in the Recording Lounge, started recording, and waited for trolls to stroll in... I wasn't waiting for long.

I've had them too, every time my friend and I would go on the Creative chat together, so we can build, it doesn't usually take too long for a troll to actually come in and disrupt your session. My friend just cracked and furiously asked why they were here. I was surprised the troll actually responded, and they would just say "It's a public server", and that phrase just makes me cringe... -_-

There were even two people, who just barged in to the channel my friend and I were in, and they even started accusing me of using VPN, side note, I came from a weird country, just because you see it doesn't mean you attempt to call in a moderator and say I'm using VPN...

Overall, I don't understand how some people consider it funny to do something like that in Teamspeak, music players, simply weird trolls, and just some raging people, it is indeed frustrating. What confuses me is who on Earth are they trying to impress? Because they don't seem to be doing good at it. :I

There are so many trolls... I join a general chat and I try to play with a guy there, and there's always has to be a guy and a girl that randomly join and talk about sacks of potatoes (seriously) and other useless stuff. I then just have to go to another Teamspeak server, as after 3 minutes, my ears are physically hurt.

Well a word to the wise (and the unwise), if you're ever in a TS channel with rulebreakers, mute your mic please!! Staff are having to client-mute like every unmuted person in a channel until they can sort out who's actually breaking rules. Another reason why I suspect they're also annoyed with the current amount of trolls.

In an attempt to explain WHY there are so many trolls, I think a possible explanation might be that a lot of users find it awkward meeting new people they know nothing about. Are they resorting to trolling because they think it'll ingratiate and endear themselves to some people? I mean, if I want to meet someone on TS, I join their channel and talk regularly, usually starting out with "Hello. I'm Patrick, how are you?"

But that's the point isn't it? The porpoise of this thread is to generate ideas to make our current TeamSpeak a more family friendly place, not to just retch and moan about its problems and run off to our private Teamspeak servers. A fellow forumer once hit the nail on the head for me that the first step to fixing a problem is finding out why it's happening. To be honest, I probably already knew that but now it's fresh in my mind and I've applied it to this situation (the original situation was hackers and aforementioned forumer's mental quandary spurred me to create a thread for the state of the TS).
