1. Just because a person's head is up when you're above them, DOESN'T MEAN he's hacking. If a player is above you, wouldn't you hit up as well? If a player's head is spinning and pointing up and you're flat on the ground, then the person is most likely hacking. A head aiming up, doesn't always mean a hacker.

2. Just because he's owning you, doesn't mean he's hacking. There's always going to be someone better than you at PVP, so just because you're getting wrecked, doesn't mean he's hacking. It just means he's better than you.

3. Just because a player hit 2 people seemingly at once doesn't mean he's hacking. If both players are very close to each other, there's a chance that the hit-boxes could've overlapped, causing the player to seemingly hit both at once. However, if it's constantly trading between the two players, and the person's head is snapping at an unnatural rate, then he might be hacking. But that of course, is left up to the mods :3

Just a few to get this started. Keep in mind, this is for those players who are less experienced. Let me know if you'd want more! :D

Peace.

I think the name "Hacker" has been tossed around too much lately, many blame their own lack of skills on someone else "hacking". Hopefully this has cleared up any confusion! :)

I hate to break it to ya, but hitboxes can't overlap, at least in MC. It'll pick one to hit, and if he's hitting two people at once, chances are he is hacking, unless he can move his hands faster than anybody else.

Remember kids, even Huahwi still lost 2,308 games! :D

((This was in reply to the O.P.'s Point #2 and showing concurrence with that point.))

In a way, when identifying a hacker, it is pretty obvious to reach a proper conclusion by observing them. But this thread is definitely useful who are still a little troubled with finding the difference of skill and hacking, I guess on one of the points when saying that people aren't hacking if they are beating you, really is a good point. Some players usually have some sort of misconception towards being the best at pvp, that's not always the case though. And eventually they would believe other people are hacking if they beat them. 0.0

People who call hacks on someone, its not cause they are bad, its mainly because they feel bad to lose to soomeone they want to be better than him..
I was getting called hacker alot in clan wars, and alot of other stuff, once I got reported 5 times for the same kill, and still wasn't banned..
People call hacks on players who are abit better, or much better, and the people don't want to think that.

Things I see happening a lot are people getting called out for hacks when the 1.7 food glitch happens. In 1.7, when you eat an item, it will sometimes register a second time, causing you to be able to sprint client-side, but be sprinting AND eating server-side. This is NOT hacking, it is a common glitch that has low awareness. If a player is hacking in this way, you will know because they will not use the full time to eat the food item, and they will eat the whole stack if possible. A similar glitch can be found with a bow, but is more commonly known by average players, and is less likely to be called out for hacks.
