Better FPS while recording?

I would like to make my own MCSG montagw, even though I don't do Youtube, but I thought it'd be fun to make one.

The problem here is my fps I get when recording, it's about 20-25 fps and I can't play with that. When I first got this computer (it isn't a gaming computer in any way) I could record 80 fps easily. I don't know what to do!

Should I try some other recording software (I have Fraps)? Or should I try clearing my internal drive from unneeded files, does that affect?

Anything that helps to boost my fps, please write it down there :3

What are your computer specs?

It doesn't hurt to close processes that are unnecessary while recording, as those can hog your RAM and make MC slower.
It shouldn't make too much of a difference but if your hard drive is getting full, it doesn't hurt to clear it too.

It's this http://www.gigantti.fi/product/tiet...ACDTSRPEQ071/acer-aspire-xc605-poytatietokone the page is in Finnish, I hope you get the specs though :3

And yeah I'll probably try clearing my hard drives later today, as it is 80% full x)

Wow, I don't know how you manage to get such low FPS, that is one beast of a machine.
I'd start by clearing it out. Have you updated your graphics card?

Not too sure  I'm not familiar with computer stuff, how do you check if it's updated or not? :3

I have a NVIDIA Graphics card, so not sure how RADEONs work as such but just look at the settings for the card (search it up in the windows search function)

There are alot of variables that can affect your recording. To get a beter fps try to set your eender distance to 8 chunks, eliminate some background programs, if your are using shaders turn them off, they eat FPS. Also, try to search up your writting speed of your HDD, it might not even be able to record in 1080/720p

I could also recommend downloading OptiFine to increase your fps a lot more, just for safety measures. And as suggested above by wonderful people, you should go ahead and delete unnecessary files you don't need. :D

Thanks, I ran CCleaner and removed my unnecessary files, and got my fps up to 100 (not recording though lol, but it's improvement)

I have the same issue, though fraps is not the best recording software. I'd recommend getting Bandicam or DxTory!

Well there are several things you can do. You can start off by clearing your "Temp" folder which could be found by simply going to your start menu then typing in "%temp%".After you do that all you have to do is remove everything inside there, there might be some things that you will not be able to delete and that's perfectly fine.Something else you can do is try to get a custom disk drive just for your recordings, if you do end up doing this your fps should increase by a whole lot, it worked for me. If none of that works then just ahead and get a new recording software. One I strongly recommend is 'Action!' for me it works perfectly fine and only end up losing about 10-20 fps with my current (somewhat bad) desktop.
