My dad told me about an interesting theory he had the other day about why teenagers get acne..
Basically the idea is that teenagers, males especially, get acne roughly in their teen years for a sort of "protection." If one of the leaders of the village sees this big hulking teenager with a lot of muscle, he's probably going to feel threatened, right? He's thinking, "oh shoot, this guy could compete with me. He could kill me and take my place as the leader." So he could potentially decide to kill him. As a lot of us might know, acne is very noticable, especially since it forms on your face. It could be a sort of "sign" that says, "hey man, I know I look big and strong right now, but I'm no threat to you. I'm a 14 year old kid that can barely fight. Wait until I'm older, then come after me."
Idk it seemed kind of interesting to me :3
