Breaking Habits

Yo.
So I was kind of just sitting here, when I cracked my knuckles. Now, knuckle cracking I have been doing for a couple years, it's turned into a habit, not a very good one sadly. In fact, it's turned so bad, I can just flex my fingers and they will crack. Generally, habits are bad. Not all habits are bad (I think) but majority are. Most of us probably have a habit. I crack my knuckles, the next guy probably picks his ear. Okay whatever, you get the idea.

So how do we break them?

For me at least, it's much easier said then done. One minute I say "no more knuckle cracking' 4lyfe" the next minute I'm cracking them. So a couple things you have to take into account.

  • Acknowledge it's a habit. If you don't your gonna keep doing it without a care in the world
  • Resist it. Try not to do it (easier said then done)
  • It's gonna take time. Your not gonna be able to stop immediately. If you try, you'll get there.
  • You just gotta believe!
And Ye. Feel free to add on to this. I need sleep, 3 tests tomorrow, I'm stupid.

By the way, good luck on your test! And the things you wrote seem pretty useful for those who are under the influence of a habit. c:
