Now, before I begin this thread, I ask that if this thread gets to out of hand with flame. That a moderator locks this thread ONLY at my discretion.



I'm sick of clans, they break mcsg's rules constantly and don't get punished. I can't even begin to see why they're allowed to begin with, they only bring trouble to the players who want to play fairly, instead of being killed by a 4- 6 man team. Clans are the very definition of an abomination. I know that there are other people who feel this way, and I know there are others who like clans, but honestly, if this happened to you, would you really just say "Eh, it's fine, they're a clan, I don't care if they 6v1 me." and just leave? I'd assume most people would say No.
Now, I've seen people say "If you don't like it, leave." now let me explain how worthless statement is, are you really just gonna back off every time they have to come ruin it? Wouldn't you rather stay in the game, and enjoy playing it? Clans ruin the game in all ways possible. I've been called "mad lil kid." by clans because I told them how they're ruining the game. They disrespect others because they think they're more than any player, when they're pathetic teamers who do nothing but ruin the experience. Now, I'm not saying clans should be eliminated, but something needs to happen, they're needs to be some type of system where a group of select staff members can moderate the clan battle, to make sure they're not breaking rules. Also, if they're having a clan battle, they're should be team number restrictions (I think 4 or less would be fine.). I'm DONE with the crap caused by clans, it needs to be (Better) controlled.

Now, if you're going to get upset because I disagree with you, don't bother commenting, I'm not going to read it, and it will only make yourself look bad.

Clans aren't going anytime soon. Chad said that they're thinking of adding FFA servers. Many people play on MCSG for the reason of clans so if Clans were to be banned or something many, many, many people would be gone.

Not all clans are bad. I'll be completely honest with you.

I met ALL of my online friends through clans. Some of which, are still my friends. Very dear and close to me. When I first started MCG I made a clan. I was terrible, so was my clan. But we had fun, enjoyed every bit of it. These were some of the best times because we didn't care what we did. All the fun clan battles we did, scrimmages, we even made our own practice server! We may have lost all of them, but they were not forgotten. Let's teleport a few months later. I was in a pretty competitive clan with a bunch close friends of mine. I met new people, and they were all amazing. This really was the best clan I ever was in. We were like family. Recently, we started to re-unite like we once were.

What I am trying to say is, we can't take away something just because a few people may not like it. A lot of people treasure Clans/Teams and it's the reason why many people are still here, or even what caused some people to join this community. Sure, it may cause some problems, it may be a PAIN IN THE BUTT to deal with, but if you stay out of it, it really shouldn't affect you whatsoever.

The only thing I think they should add, is ONE set of rules that EVERYONE has to follow. All these rules people come up with are ridiculous. One set of rules to follow, this would really stop majority of the problems.

That's not how things work here, sorry. If this becomes too out of hand it will be locked by the staff's discretion, but that's not something that we should have to worry about anyway

Umm, if there is flame and a mod wants to lock it, they don't have to wait for your permission to lock it. This is just like how you don't have to give mods permission to ban a hacker.

You talk about friends, which has nothing to do with how clans are, so most of your statements are irrelevant. And you proved me right, it is a pain, that I can't stand, I wait a few minutes for a game, get started, and a 5 man team kills me. There's time out of my day, that was wasted because of them. Staying out of it isn't the best thing to do, it needs to be restricted with rules that will atleast give the players who like to play fair a chance.
