Hey all members and staff. As you know today on the MCSG servers there are a lot of hackers. Some are /d *cough* *cough* *Vepth*. These people are donors that are /d and still hacking. They are hiding right in the shadows but no one to report. A lot of staff recommend recording and then making an abuse report but this will take years to do with the amount of hackers, also factoring many people don't know how to record. What I am requesting is that two times a week maybe once a week, MCSG staff does a moderation wave within the server. During this time, you would have a team of dedicated mods that are willing to demote their time in to playing sg/bg and just find any hackers. In this team there will be about 10+ mods going around and helping to get rid of all the hackers and what not. I hope you think this is a good idea and please take this in consideration. This will be the new step and rise against hackers to eliminate them all. Thank you bbs22201 or Brandon and as always please take the time to think hardly about this action.

As a moderator, I do my duty by staying in the hub and going into servers in which players suspect of a hacker. When I decide to play games, I'm on a look out for any hackers and am ready to sacrifice myself ingame to punish them. We are trying the best that we can to help out the community. Also, it does not take years to do an abuse report as all you have to do is complete the template, and bamm, your done! Firstly, us Moderators can see disguised player's true identities are.

Secondly why would we have a team of 10 Moderators that would go in a wave to get rid of hackers when we already dedicate a great deal of our time to recording hackers and dealing with them accordingly, we can't do these things by ourselves, that's why we call upon the community to record evidence and /report them. I have only been Moderator for two days and I have seen a great amount of Moderators put an abundance of tome into helping the server in many ways in which also includes dealing with hacker reports.

All in all I don't think this is necessary as with 2.8 million players that have joined since the start of MCGamer and numbers rapidly increasing, I think it will take time for the number of hackers to decrease, that's why we can't stress enough that you record evidence- even if the evidence if done by a free recording software such as bandicam because in the end you are mot only helping the community but you are also helping yourself.

With MCGamer's next update there will be more gamemodes and more players, if you feel MCSG is being overrun by 'hackers' (Which it isn't) then you can go and play a different gamemodes.

Another thing is that there is also an 'Operation Cleansweep' which is also very similar to the idea you are suggesting here.

All in all I don't think it is necessary to implement something like this as us staff and the community are already working hard.

We have something in progress right now called "Operation Clean Sweep", where a team of mods goes around server to server doing exactly this.

The staff team is currently working on revamping project clean sweep, which will accomplish something similar to what you're suggesting here

Project clean sweep is essentially a group of staff members each going into different servers looking for suspected hackers, or simply surveying the servers, and this will hopefully be able to take care of a good amount of hackers, in addition to help from the community's reports

We have to record and report the hackers as a part of our job. If you want a solution to the hacker problem, you can't just do nothing about it and say the staff are the issue.
