Ebola
Recently I have been thinking about a disease that has spread into the United States. This thread is not to freak anyone out, but I just want to see your thoughts on this.

  1. Do you think the government might be lying about it only being transmitted through certain things, just to make sure everyone is calm?
  2. Do you think it could turn into a world-wide plague?
  3. Do you think it is airborne? (Related to question 1)
You don't have to answer these, I'm just wondering what you guys think. Cool. :D

I think the government is covering it up. Just saying. ;)

I think this Ebola thing is just going to be another "swine flu" like last year. People are overreacting.

1) No.

2) Yes.

3) In a few months, it will likely evolve to that.

Ebola, deadly as it is, is somewhat difficult to contract. The fact that you have to be in contact with an infected person's body fluid makes it considerably difficult to actually contract it. In addition to that, they have to be exhibiting symptoms in order for you to be infected! Also, news of Ebola has been everywhere, so I'm close to fully confident that the government, or CDC, is not lying about the transmission or symptoms of Ebola. And to add on to that, Ebola, in my opinion, would take a long time of lazy containment to actually become global.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts. :D. I have reconsidered about the government. I just hope they're not lying.
