Community Poll: Leaderboards Reset with Newest Update?

Assuming your old statistics would be saved separately, would you like the leaderboards to be reset?

  • Yes. I support Legacy Leaderboards, new statistics to track, and a global leaderboards reset.

    Votes: 883 53.7%
  • No. I don't want a global leaderboards reset nor new statistics to track. Keep everything as it is.

    Votes: 761 46.3%

How dare you call us selfish when we've worked years on our stats and the majority of yes votes are for the fact of them wanting an easier route to #1. That's selfish.
I just want to get it out of the way that I personally do not want an easier route to #1 (I hardly even play anymore). At this point in my mcsg career, I just want to see changes happen that will help mcsg stay relevant and entertain people for years to come. Improving the leaderboards WILL make mcsg better and more competitive with other servers. I'm sorry that you are offended by me calling you a little selfish, but you have to understand that this is just the way I see the debate.

This is going to me my last post on this thread because I think we all know this is getting nowhere.

MCSG will die out before MC dies out. And MC is dying out fast, probably gonna die out in a year or two.

The leaderboards can change without robbing us of our wins.

To everyone who thinks creeperfarts changed the whole poll:

This was in the DESC of his video. The ingame poll is winning around by 3k? And his voters are only 1900 if even all of them voted ingame. So no more BS about that creeperfarts changed the poll.

Odd how those percentages are an exact match to the ones in game.

So no, not bs.

Other points based off of some things I've seen been said:

  • Every vote is a valid vote. Just because people swayed others to vote another way doesn't mean anything.
  • A reset leader boards is in no way a quick path to #1. There are many players that play on these servers.
  • You cannot just assume that when the leader boards are reset there will be more hackers and boosters. You cannot prove that.

While it cannot be proved, it's kinda just using commons sense.

Everyone saying "I say yes because it will make MCSG more competitive" Is the most ridiculous reason i have ever heard! i haven't just played this game for a year just for a "Stat Reset" Just because some players are not the best want it.... All these players saying yes, you do understand that getting a stat reset won't make you any better than you are now... if you're bad (No offence) you'll just get destroyed ever game because there will be 10x more try hards, teams and hackers.... and who wants that? really?. also people like Gravey4rd or JoeThePro will defiantly not want a stat reset! #NoToStatsReset

You forget people like GoldEllipse, and TechnoMagePvP tainted the poll even more in favour of yes.

Yes every vote is made by another person if thats what you mean. This does however nt mean it is valid. As stated many times before Youtubers have been playing a big factor the voting. Seeing how alot of Youtubers have masses of subs and how these subs would blindly follow them, the word "valid" might aswell be changed to "opinionated by Youtubers" on this one.

Secondly, you seem to have an ability most people seem to have not, common sense.

And finally, only time will tell. But both experience and inuition give a rsther decwnt indication of what is to come.

Also a note to the staff,
By resetting the leaderboards in the name of "change" you will shoot your own feet. People will quit, no doubt. But this time not the people who just play a game or two. Not the "new" members. The people who have kept this server alive for the past two years. It were the people high up who brought you the most money. Not the new players, the people youre losing if you were to enforce this change. If you want change, start by implementing things youve promised quite some time ago.

I don't think people who are voting for yes thinks that it will make them better. It just provides more accurate statistics for the future.
