Community Poll: Leaderboards Reset with Newest Update?

Even though I'm not a high ranked player I say no. The small amount of wins that I have are because of a good amount of time and effort that I spent in MCSG.

I can't imagine how a top ranked player will feel if he losses all the time he spent playing but I can tell he won't be happy. This I think can have a solution. People on top of the leaderboard should get a special rank in reward of the time and effort they have spent.

However this is not the only issue as other people has said hackers, tryhards, and boosters will increase. Making this new leaderboards not the best choice.

actually, no. This wouldn't be helpful to lazy people, but anyone good enough to be at the top. A fresh start would only be fair. Getting 4500 wins would be impossible I honestly expect mcsg would be nearly over by then PLUS gravey would have even more wins by then. To get to #1 rn doesn't take 4500 wins like you think but at least 7k considering people there maintain their spot. How is it lazy to want even playing ground?

Because we work for them wins. You work for them too. Why should you get a restart? Explain how that's fair for the people who legitimately gained their wins through time and effort. You're being selfish as are many people voting yes because simply it's unfair to us. We don't want no damn legacy leaderboards, they'll mean nothing.

I vote no, mainly because the people who are in the top 10, top 25 or so, have worked extremely hard (some of which for about 2 years) to get to the top of the leaderboards.

With that logic, at the dawn of MCSG and at the v2 reset there was a large influx of hackers.
While I was not around for the v2 reset, I can confirm that hackers weren't that common towards the beginning of MCSG.
Sure, there may be more hackers immediately after the reset, but that just means more hackers to be banned.
It's your job to report them, as a regular member

Plenty get banned daily. Yet there's still 1-3 every game I play on EU, the reset will cause more hackers and it doesn't matter if more start getting banned a day, there will more than likely be way more than there is without a stat reset.

The leaderboards right now bring a certain level of entertainment, they provide for good competition and a way (for clans mostly) to take a good look on how good someone actually is. It is true new players dont easily find their way to the top, but has anyone ever noticed how few people in "the top" where here when it all started? One year ago the names in the top were alot different from what they are now. People leave, people start to play and people come back from their absence. But it was the group of people who devoted lots of their time to this server, the people who donated to keep it alive and the people who would run the extra mile to be on the front page who are at the top.

It also brings up a certain nostalgia, for it is a record of the past. It's something youve worked on for the past year(s). Would the staff like it if their achievements, such as plugins you've written or hackers you banned, would be set to zero? Having to write a new plugin? Ban every single one of those hackers again? It is not exactly the same but for a big part it does not alter. It is two years of hard work send right into the drain. All because others are not willing to run the extra mile to be at the top.

Re-newing the leaderboards will give loads of boosters and hackers, this is their chance to be "the best". They don't care if they get banned, all they want is a chance to say: "I've been the #1 MCSG player".

And then there are these legacy leaderboards...
Looking at my stats now i see potential of improving them, gaining more kills and wins and getting a better ratio. When i were to look at a "Legacy Leaderboard" i would see it as a gravestone.

Dont reset. If you reset, it will cause a lot of problems in the community. People who have good stats work hard for them. They put in the effort to get where they are now. If you reset, it screws everbody over, and opens up to hacker boosting.

To be honest if this was to happen alot of classic players or players who have a decent amount of wins would probably quit and would make it for people like me really demotivated to play this game having to get all of my wins back.
The people who i feel sorry for the most is people like in the top 100 who have worked ages on getting there and for this to happen would be horrible.

Wow who the bant does even want it??!! Actual leaderboards are the best, I've made a thread about my opinion, can't you imagine the tryhards and all of the boosters, hackers and s..t as consequences?
