Well I have a new way to eliminate them from your life, never to be seen again!

The steps might be a bit difficult to understand so I'll make them very detailed:

Step 1) Go into the Minecraft in-game menu

Step 2) Click "Options"

Step 3) Press "Multiplayer Settings"

Step 4) Select the "Scale" slider and bring it all the way to the left.

Step 5) Instant profit!

side effects include not being able to see important announcements, communicate with friends, know if the game starts, team and truce offerings, and you may or may not miss out on reporting some rule breakers but who even does that anyway?

Just make sure you are not doing anything wrong when you've your chat off, as you won't be able to see warnings given by moderators

Well the only things you could possibly do wrong and have to check the chat are hacking or block glitching, not very hard to avoid
