I don't think you'll be able to pick it up if it drops, like the wood when you break a boat, I'm not sure though!

I remember picking up an ender dragon egg and a chest from turbulence accidentally
Can't remember exactly what I did but I'm pretty sure I tried to open up a chest while holding a flint and steel and they both broke letting me pick them up really should have taken a screenshot of it :/
They don't affect the gameplay so it's really not a big problem in my opinion
