I'm really concerned because of a message I got in-game which told me that I might be at risk for banning because of "spam". This really concerns me because I didn't realize that what I said was spam and if it was, then I have no idea what spam is and I really want to know so that I don't get banned.

Here is a screenshot I snapped of it. Sorry I didn't manage to shoot what the guy had said to me too, the text was flying by very fast. (my in-game name is KittenSmiles)

What had happened was that in the parkour part of the lobby, I fell at the same point as another player. It happened right before we were sent to the playing map, so when we arrived, the other player said something like "man! We were so close!" And, all I said is what is in that picture. "I know!" ":(" "Good luck everyone" I didn't repeat it several times. I didn't think it was spam. But I don't talk a lot in online games, so I suddenly realized that I might not know what is considered spam.

So, if anyone could tell me if "I know!" is the problem, or if it was the exclamation mark, and if there are other expressions I should avoid, please let me know. I try to follow the rules and I don't want to risk a ban again.

Thanks in advance for all advice!

The spam filter overreacts a bit if you type too many messages in a short amount of time. They might be working on a solution for this, but I've also heard that they consider this the proper level of filtering, so I'm not quite sure when (if) it will be fixed.

Ahh, I can understand that, then. Thanks for letting me know. It really freaked me out at the time. I'll try to be more aware of slowing down when I do talk in Minecraft. (I really wish they would include this information on their rules page.)

Thanks again!

THis has happend to me to. I was typing in something and I made a spelling mistake in the last word, so I quickly corrected myself and It said I was Spaming and that I might be baned, which freaked me out a bit. I think It dose overreact a bit, but it dose give people fair warning and It wont actualy ban you. It just lets you know that you are "Breaking a rule" and it will help stop actual spamers.
