Original Map Ideas

Hey MCSG! This is kstorm2, creator of Excavation Zero. Just wanted to get some discussions going about some map themes that are totally original. I was looking at the Maps in Progress thread and there was an insane amount of maps that are basically the same, ripoffs of SG4 and Holiday Resort are the most common I think. Any good ideas? One possible idea I had was an Inception Dream map, but that idea never came to fruition. Any fresh ideas out there?

Coming up with original ideas is surprisingly difficult, what I like to do is take a look at what's happening on PMC (what's hot there) and then taking inspiration from it, though I don't finish most maps.

Yeah I totally agree, it is really hard and that's why I figured it would be a good idea to get some creative juices flowing.

Maybe something like a huge stadium (football, soccer, baseball, etc) and have like the whole stadium and some of the outside that would be really cool for someone good at building!

Hm but what else could you have? Would one stadium be big enough for an entire MCSG map?

Yes, easily. if you think about a baseball stadium it is pretty damn big and also you could add some outside parts of the stadium, idk just an idea

What about a map themed to Amnesia the dark descent(something tells me if someone does this they will put a pewdiepie reference in it :3)

I've been considering starting something with either a dark elven or dwarven industrial theme, but you're invited to use either idea if you want.
