[Discussion] Treatment of different genders in gaming community

Hello everyone, so to free my boredom I randomly thought of this topic in my wild head.

So I'm going state my opinion.

Gamers have treated each gender differently in the gaming community for a long time now but I think it has been growing and growing after all these years.Firstly, we should have some treatment that's different but that is very minor, unlike today. Recently, I've witnessed a lot of this unequal treatment and from my experience, females are the once that are most effected by this. Females were always treated as a rarity in the gaming community, which is the why they get this attention. They would get spammed with messages, skype request, pictures. Sometimes it can be so bad some messages are lead to Sexual Harassment. This all happens because of the common stereotype, Males like guns, video games, action movies, sports etc and females like Dolls, Make-up, romance movies etc. So for them being in a video game community people freak out. Secondly, a lot of males have realised that females get very popular easily, they even go so far to pretend to be a girl (I'm not dissing Lovelights he is a different story, so keep him out of this) and they can go further by creating stronger bonds with other males which in the end, break their heart. Males act like they've never seen a female in their life if they see them in a video game community.

It's quite a selfexplanatory, isn't it?

I mean, it's also because gamers are often shy, and aren't contacted to girls at school, or in real life in general, so they think that they have a better shot at gamer girls, who also have the same interests, so you already have something in common, but with a girl you know personally, she most likely doesn't play video games, so I fully understand these guys.

Especially when the girls don't deserve the subs, somebody hears that the person is a girl and gains subscribers like no tomorrow. There is a particlar MCSG Youtuber that I don't believe deserves all of her subs.
Sorry if this sounds sexist, I really don't mean it in that way.
