Hello, Gecko here, and I'm going to tell you how to get fellow members to not hate your guts! Here are a few simple, yet effective tips that you can use to become likable on our servers!
1) Follow the rules: Keep yourself having fun within the rules, nobody likes hackers, spammers, or advertisers, they always just ruin people's days.
2) Offer that gg or gf, it's a nice thing to do if it actually was a good game or good fight. Keep it appropriate, if you destroyed them, don't say gg10 or g3t r3kd, those make people mad.
3) Talk to people before a fight if you get the chance, get to know them a bit, then have a nice clean fight after a cool conversation, you never know, you might learn something!
4) Stay on a little while after you die, don't just rage quit because they 10 hearted you, stay on and bounty them, or sponsor people, you might want to get rid of those 6000 points in other ways than just death, and you might talk to some really cool people while spectating too!
5) Don't get mad at people just because they killed you. It's part of the game, and it has to be done sometime or another. Accept your fate of that game, and if you see them again, say hello, not OMG YOU KILLED ME U NOOB!
6) Remember to have fun during the game, smile when you win! Be happy for your friends if they hit a milestone, post a 100th or 1000th post thread on the forums, celebrate a little! People love it when others do it, and you all have fun together, don't be so hardcore all the time.
7) Be active in the community, post on the forums, join a clan, participate in some events of some sort. Winning Hell Games 4 would make most people think 'wow that guy's got skill, he must have been pretty cool to get in too' Being known for more than just being a hardcore player is good.

I hope these 7 easy tips help you become a nice player, and make everyone like you, or maybe just not hate you. I have found this to make me play better too, because I'm relaxed and happy. Happy gaming!

Having lots of wins will make people suck up to you (And most likely backstab you because your an Ok player), having wins wont make people like you as a person. You have to be friendly and talk politely to others.
'Twas a joke but I understand.

Hmm.

Rather than saying, "GG"/"GF", I prefer to type out the full "Good Game" or "Good Fight", so that people don't mistake what I said for "Get Good" or "Get F---ed"
Rather than abruptly turning down someone who asks to team with you, offer an alternative. Trucing, or maybe just ask someone else to team with them. If you need, you can always just offer an excuse and say that you can't because you're not sure if you'll be there for the entire game, and might have to leave mid-way.

And remember, not everyone you meet will like you.

On the forums, try to be polite but also friendly. Making funny jokes can go a long way in your favor, but keep them appropriate for the topic or an inside-joke, or something of the sort.
If the situation calls for it, it's OK to joke around and lose your seriousness once in a while - Heck, even I do it. But make sure that at a moment's notice, you're able to calm yourself and control your temper. Don't get offended at everything people say, otherwise you might just earn yourself the title of "Easily-Angered". I sometimes lose my cool, unfortunately, and sadly people seem to enjoy taunting me when that happens. I later just rek-smak-gg10 them using super long words once I'm calmed down, but that's not something anyone should make a habit of, particularly if you're not entirely confident in your verbal arsenal.
Comment on profile posts, and make a few funny statuses and profile posts yourself. Be approachable, don't try to give off an aura similar to Blazerboy | Noah. (lol, jk noah ily)

Oh, and make some sort of theme for yourself, if you want to. For example, I'm a cow, OhFancy is a pug, demonsushi is... LeafyGreenTea? Idk. Chad's secret ruler is Mufasa, his cat, and... oops, I almost made a McDonalds joke. xD. Col_StaR is secretly in the army, and Subv3rsion is a potato.

Best way to become liked: openly refuse a request to team in chat.
At least, that's how I'll come to like you.

(I'm a bit bitter about teams at the moment...)

Sometimes people are natural jerks, and if they be themselves, they'd just be the most hated person out there...
