Help me with a computer problem please

My computer was working fine but it was slow so I decided to restore it to factory condition but during that my laptop overheated and lost windows 7. It said inter boot disk and press enter so I did and windows 7 was reinstalled but now I can't connect to the internet. I tried to install the correct network driver but this error came up.
The contents of this file cannot be unpacked. The executable you are attempting to run has been corrupted. Please obtain another copy of this file, verify it's integrity and try again

Yes I downloaded it from the official HP website

The only internet issue I've ever had that was major was on my laptop, I had to go into network settings and enable some weird drivers that were disabled.
