Forum Game Posts Should Not Count Towards Posts

The amount of forumers I see who spam forum games to get posts is starting to get kind of ridiculous. I won't name any names here but I'm pretty sure most of you know a couple of people I am speaking about.

When someone spams forum games, it gives them trophy points and messages which they have not put any real thought and effort into saying. When you see someone with a lot of posts and likes, you can tell they are a person with a lot to say. You may also conclude they have a lot to bring to the table in discussions. When realistically, some have not really put any real effort into most of their posts and it is sort of irks me that I put a lot of effort into most of my posts but I then see someone with like 700 messages. I view their postings and all I see is forum games. I'm not saying I'm the best forumer in terms of bringing ideas to the table and making threads for change but, I put a lot of effort into my postings and then I see someone who is spending all their time in forum games with more posts than me. That is what really annoys me.

They just made this change on the hive forums, so I don't see why it can't be done here. I'd love to see forum game spammers have to start making quality content to up their post count.

This may urge people to post pointless spam on threads that have potential. And that would be far worse... Personally if they do that, then there is no personal gain for that and they won't gain any respect in the community. I do not feel like it is necessary, and could have bad outcomes.. But it could work :3

There are moderators to moderate the spam on threads and such. We have them for a reason.

I like this idea, and I think it would help relieve some forum-game spam, however, people who post there would find other ways.

I've seen plenty of silly, pointless threads, and replies to posts that are without a doubt in an effort to boost post count, and we could quite possibly get even more of that with forum games posts taking a hit.

Despite that, this is a really good idea, if it's possible to implement (which from reading Joel's post, it seems to be) I definitely think it could help limit "post spam".

In the end, most 'spammers' lack in the like-to-post ratio department (unless they get their friends to like-spam them, which is a whole 'nother bothersome story), and in the end, if people know that's how they got their posts, it definitely limits the amount of 'respect' that person gets as a forumer.

Its pretty easy to tell who spams forum games, they have a horrible like to post ratio.

On to the suggestion, well I cant see anything wrong with it besides people might start spamming normal threads but other than that it has my vote!

The thing is, no matter how much they post they won't get the actual importance of the posts. It is their loss to have not posted correctly. The point of active member is to say "hey I earned this" but these people don't get that satisfaction.

Actually, I'd rather have people make forum games that actually take some thought, but this might be nice. The thing is, you already know who gets likespammed, who spams forum games, and they don't get the same respect. I only dislike when people think their spam makes them better than others.
