STARTING IN TWO MINUTES
Hi,
So I (finally) found a way to Livestream decently, and I streamed a few games of SG.
Something that I wanted to do, was a Forumer Q&A. It could pertain to me, it could be relevant to another forumer, or just MCSG in general.
And before I forget to put this, the twitch account that I'm going to be livestreaming on is: www.twitch.tv/MooclanTheCow
The reason that I'm doing this is because I know that there are some questions that can't be answered by staff in MCSG-run Q&A sessions, due to general staff policies and whatnot. This is a way for the community to have some answers to certain things that they might not be able to ask during staff-operated sessions, like questions pertaining to things such as controversial bans and events.
BUT, I need a few things to run it!
A: Questions!
B: People!
C: People with questions!
If that was confusing, here's the breakdown:
The livestream, which I'm hoping to do sometime tomorrow (Maybe 1 PM EST?) is going to hopefully answer some questions. But in order to answer questions, I need the actual questions themselves (A)! So that people actually get their questions answered, one might want to actually attend the livestream (B). Aaaand, there might be some questions that can't be asked on the forums without being deleted or censored for various reasons, SO you can also ask questions during the livestream itself, where you can ask anything (as long as it's PG-13 and cow-approved)
I love controversy, so feel free to bring your most thought-provoking and interesting questions. But of course, questions such as "What do you do on the forums" and whatnot are fine too.
If you STILL don't get it, here's an even break-ier breakdown:
What you do:
Ask your parents if you're going to be home tomorrow (July 17th, 2014) at 1 PM EST (I think that's 10 AM for the West Coast, and like 4 PM or something for some people in EU) for an hour or two.
If yes, keep reading the rest of these steps.
Think of questions to ask.
Post your questions in the comments, OR write them down and save them for the Live Q&A. Or both.
Aand tomorrow, attend the Q&A to see if your questions are answered!
EDIT:
IF YOU WANT TO SUBMIT A QUESTION BUT DON'T WANT TO DO IT OVER THE LIVESTREAM OR THESE FORUMS, SUBMIT IT HERE: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1VPffFPYVryfOhKiS0ycNyOWZG7vB_Jtpndv_7PQkugQ/viewform?usp=send_form
YOU CAN ALSO REMAIN ANONYMOUS IF YOU WISH.
Notes:
The stream does have a delay, usually it's around 10-20 seconds. It takes time to be uploaded to the server, rendered/processed, and then finally sent to your computer.
The answers that I give might be opinionated for certain types of questions, or slightly iffy if the information that I have isn't 100% accurate.
If you have an answer to a question that I can't answer, or answered incorrectly, I encourage you to correct me/give your input.
If the stream freezes, please let me know. I've had issues with this in the past, but I think I resolved it.
Concerning the Stream:
I will be playing MCSG while streaming. I'm not a professional player anymore, and I don't claim to be really good at the game. I am expected to die in some games, and when I do I might leave the server to join another game, or I might stay and spectate.
ALSO!
ADDING ONTO (B) FROM ABOVE:
(By the way, (B) was "People!")
If you think you might be able to help answer questions during the Q&A, please contact me via this thread or PM. I'm only one person, and I can't answer every question in all of MCSG. If you think you might be able to help in any way, please contact me. I know of a TeamSpeak that I might be able to use, we can go on there and I can make a private channel, then move people in.
(Also, make sure you don't have too much echo. xD Someone had echo in TS earlier today and it was painful to hear myself through their microphone.)
Note to MCSG Staff:
You are welcome to join the stream, but don't expect special privileges such as the ability to moderate the stream - If I need anyone to Moderate the stream, it will be granted based on individual behavior and attitude. You are also allowed to participate in the stream, ask questions, answer questions if you want, and join me in-game.
I also ask that no one faces consequences for asking a question on the stream - it's my stream, and if I see something that is inappropriate to ask, I'll deal with it. But the purpose of this stream is to have freedom of speech to ask questions that they ordinarily can't on MCSG.
I'm not a staff member, and I'm not claiming to represent MCGamer or MCSG in any way, aside from being a relatively knowledgeable member of their community.
Also, I'm waiting for an answer from an Admin concerning the type of questions/answers that can be said on the stream. I need to know if people can face consequences for answering or asking questions concerning bans, etc. - Depending on that answer, I may or may not be able to discuss certain topics.
Yeah, uh, I'm not thinking super straight so this thread was really messy. Feel free to ask questions about it.
