It costs lots of money to run a server, if you're in the Us/Eu region they have heaps of servers for you. :) If you're in the Au region just keep on trying, they don't fill up to fast.
The AU only has 6 servers so please be patient. We understand your situation, there is a very high amount of people who play on the AU. So be patient :)

I was thinking top 8 players in each country have a tournament. I'd suggest a server held, maybe in Africa? That way people would have almost equal lag. ANd mayhap the 8 players team up, to prove the better country/continent.
Yeah i agree about the whole top 8 players tournament. But i dont think Chad could host a server in Africa. Just a thought in mind.

There are still too many hackers out there, imo.
I suggest that moderators are allowed to ban without having a proof(dunno whether they are already...)

And there should be some trustworth normal player too who might be able to ban without a proof.
Then it is much easier to catch real hacker, because no one knows that you are able to ban him, because you look like a regular player...

Having a proof is actually good, but often there are situation you can't record the hacker. In my case minecraft laggs a lot while capturing the screen, so most of the time i'm not able to bust them :/

I have read through most of these comments and many of them are staff related. I just want to point out to people that hiring new mods takes time and new mods need training. This takes time as interviews and the sorting out of new mods is a tricky process and if rushed can cause problems.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure it's the new Nocheatplus. I have a server and I've never had this issue (I run bukkit)

So, I think MCSG could fix it by reverting back to the old Nocheatplus?
No, I have the same issue and it's not with NCP.

I wonder if the Sr. Mods are still checking out the mod apps. I hope there is still some more spots for other new moderators to moderate the forums and servers daily. Sometimes you can't trust a regular person with that kind of responsibility. And that's why there are Mods, Sr. Mods and Admins. They all have a job to do and they know what their job is.

They are checking the apps but it takes ages as they get plenty of "Junk" applications in which arent filled in correctly or they are way off the standard. The better applications eventually get noticed and will get an interview at some point if they meet the requirements :D

I have just one question on this. Are they still hiring new moderators? Or is the amount of staff now is just enough.

Ok I am almost certain this would never happen but why not just make it all 1 big set of servers instead like eu17 it would just be 17.mcsg.in and that way leader boards would not be divided so we could find out who's truly the best. And there would not be confusion of who's a noob and who's not a noob :)
