Scrimmage Chat! (ALL Clan Members READ)

I honestly was really looking forward to tournaments a year and a half ago. Really sad to see that whole idea abandoned without any mention from staff afterwards. It would have been a massive boost to the competitive community if MCSG were the first to implement them.

I hope you guys are still focusing on them in the background. I understand you guys are a network and want to focus on mastering your other not-as-popular gametypes like Zedchase, but I don't think settling on that fact while putting largely demanded MCSG features on the back burner is the right thing to do. I don't actually know if they are on the back burner though, I just hope they aren't. That's how large companies in the past have taken HUGE hits, by not focusing on what made them so great and powerful in the first place.

I'm going off topic and on a small rant now, so I'll stop. lol

The sr staff have been and are working on it substantially, but we won't begin until it actually becomes feesable to do so... You understand this hopefully as realistically any other attempt made has ended in headaches on both sides and this wants to and needs to be done right. As for my "announcement" I merely said that the future of the community looks bright, take that as you will.

It would look brighter unless if you did something about clans, that's sad. The only community that can't keep teams/clans organized is mcsg.. It's that you guys barely put any effort into it.

It seems as if I have gotten lots of good feedback on this thread, but I was wondering if you guys had any ideas on what I should do with the chat. At the moment, I have 31 people in the chat. The chat is super inactive and I wanted to expand it to more of the 'mature side' of clans and the members on their roster. So if there is any leaders of a clan that would like to be in the chat that aren't in it yet, please contact me your Skype and message me what members you think are mature enough to manage this chat and use it correctly. I would like this chat to help out the clan community instead of just sit there and be used once a week. I would like to see some active messages about certain clans to scrimmage. There are about 20 clans that are in the "High Skill Level" aspect overall and I think that with maybe 6-8 people from each of these clans to enter this chat can make it become a little more active so it has a good use. Thanks for all of the likes and the feedback on this thread and hopefully this chat can expand in the near future so scrimmages are way more fluent.

Also, I'm pretty sure we are all aware of how common DoS'ing is within the MCSG clan scene. (Or at least, how common it seems to be.)
I think it might be a good idea to make sure that no one who is suspected of DoS'ing or DDoS'ing is within the chat, to protect the other participants. (Within reason)

If you allow direct connections to your contacts only then you will only be getting DDoSed if you have them on your contacts, it's not like you will have to add everyone in the chat.

nope people use it.. but its not completely active.. im thinking of updating it and stuff soon.
