Opinion on new music vs old music

Personally, I enjoy both old and new music, however my opinions on them are different. Back then, and I'm talking about the 70's through the 90's, I feel like music had more of a meaning to it. Don't get me wrong, I think quite a few newer songs have a great meaning aswell, but usually when a song gets popular, it's kind of just the same old thing again. A song about partying, drugs, love, and sex. I'm personally not a huge fan, but I don't hate it either. It's just not the kind of thing I enjoy listening to all the time.

Are we forgetting 'Old' old music? Beethoven, Mozart, the bunch. Te be honest I can't really say I have a prefence when it comes to music, rather I just enjoy whatever I'm in the mood for. Currently I've been really into Alternative Rock (They Might Be Giants is my current favorite band.)

I play Viola and my dad is a Luthier so I have plenty of experience with classical music.

Those are just the ones I can remember and have thought to add to my list of Favorite songs, as well as plenty of singles etc.

The 60s and the 70s were the best time for music. I don't care what any one says but nothing can ever compare to the music in the 60s and 70s.

I could careless, if I see I don't like certain music then I simply don't hear them. But uh, if I had to choose between 'old' and 'new' I would have say new, well certain new songs, I'm really picky.

and the black parade, origin of symmetry, absolution, blackholes and revalations, evanescence in their prime before their 'comeback', drops of jupiter came out, toxic by britney spears came out (don't lie to me you love that song ironically), a rush of blood to the head and I just... all these good albums
