So in Shans most recent video, she states that she doesn't care if she is banned because she is using McAlts and a vpn. I have a few questions. What do VPN's do in the whole case of IP banning? What even is a vpn? Could someone just make or get a vpn (however you do that) and mcalts and then go and hack without their main ever being figured out?

VPN-
  1. A VPN is created by establishing a virtual point-to-point connection through the use of dedicated connections, virtual tunneling protocols, or traffic encryptions. A virtual private network connection across the Internet is similar to a wide area network (WAN) link between sites.

So, to answer my last question, could someone just go on a vpn and mcalts and hack? Do VPN's stop IP banning?
