Importance of Playing Too Much(Read/IMPORTANT)

I love how darkai202 plays less than a lot of people, like he hardly plays anymore and you guys just think he's a no life because he is 2nd in the world. I mean like seriously he's been on MCSG for a long time and 8k games isn't that much compared to how many games people have played in a short period of time. kthxbai

I think a lot of people fail to realize that the majority of this community does have a 'life' outside of MCSG.

Contrary to popular belief, I'm almost 100% sure the top 10 players do a lot more than huddle next to their computer all night long, trying to rack up wins.

Also, might I add, countless people have 'lives' (in terms of being social) within MCSG. Spending the hours you play in Skype, or on a TeamSpeak with your clan, or friends still counts as social interaction, because, well, it is.

I will go out on a limb and say there are most likely very few people who actually do the things you've described in your 'paragraph'.

I also would imagine it's very annoying for players in the top 10, and sometimes even lower to constantly be called a no-life, and have people assume they're 'addicted to the game', etc. I'd bet they get numerous alerts on threads like these with the same ignorant comments almost daily.

Playing a game for a while, maybe even an extended period of time hardly rules out any other social interactions you've had that week, and who's to say they weren't talking with friends online the majority of the time?

Too be honest, I think some people are a tad over dramatic with the whole "people are addicted to MCSG", or "people have no-life outside of MCSG" thing.

You can't judge the extent to which someone is 'fulfilling' their lives based on the amount of time you see them playing a game.

I think with this argument. No one will ever win, there are valid points on all sides of the argument and some people are just plain wrong and judgmental.

So firstly no lifing is a undefinable term. There is no set time to 'no lifing' it could be playing for an hour straight or 24, different people take different views on it.

As to people in the top 3 being 'no lifing', boosting, and other such things. How do you know the position to their social life? You don't, so why judge just off their game rank. For all you know I could play more than Gravey4rd or Noah. You simply don't kno enough to say these things.

A topic I have seen on this thread and around the forums is VIP rank from friend. On this topic I have a rather strong opinion. If a moderator did a good job as a mod, and they resigned. They would get friend rank. Great, they removed friend rank. Oh well, they still have retired mods platinum as a reward for their hard work. Then a few friend ranks gained VIP without VIP requirements... Wait. What!!??? The VIPs they gave out frankly didn't deserve it as much as other friend ranks did in my opinion, and caused more trouble than removing the friend rank solved.

As to gravey4rd deserving no.1 rank even if he boosts or is being selfish by holding it. Well the time he has dedicated to the server is immense, and for that he deserves the number one rank, maybe he isn't the best PvPer but he is number one, he deserves it, and shouldn't have to give it up. However his rank as VIP shouldn't have been given to him, as a VIP is a very important person. And mcg has defined this as a map maker, or a youtubers with 10k subs, something which gravey4rd and the other VIPs from friend rank did. So they did not deserve it.

Finally, if people want to play the amount they do, wether it's a Lot or not. It's up to them, I have played a lot in certain times, when my depression was strong, it was like a medicine. You never know, maybe them playing it straight for a few hours is a relief from every day life for them and they are fine how they are.

I did not mean to offend anyone in this post, I am sure the friends that got VIP were good mods, but if they got it. All the friends should get it, sorry Gravey4rd for ranting a bit about you in this post, but no offence to you as it wasn't intended.
