What's your favourite sports athlete? Leave a comment on why he or she is you favourite.

If you don't like sports then... why are you looking at this right now?

I'll start of with mine. Mark Mcmorris. A Canadian kid from Saskatchewan (Prarie province). He has a great story because he grew up in the prairies where there are no hills, and became a snowboarder (somehow). He's one of the best in the world beating shane white, and a bronze in the Sochi Olympics. Every Snowboarder should watch this guy and how down to earth he is after making this a career and making mass amount of money.

Well since he had a kid he's slowed down a tad in my opinion. Still a legend.

Roberto Luongo.
Ice Hockey Goaltender.

I don't know a whole lot about him, but he was one heck of a good goalie. I was nicknamed after him in Elementary school, as I was always class #1 on the roster (my last name starts with an A) like him (His jersey number was #1) and I always played goalie whenever we played hockey during recess.
While I was living in Canada (Vancouver) he transferred from the Florida Panthers to the Vancouver Canucks. Funnily enough, I was born in Florida, and had moved to Vancouver. :p This recent March of 2014, I heard he was yet again transferred back.. to the Florida Panthers, where I now live again!

My favourite professional (in a major league) athlete is a hockey player from the Pittsburgh Penguins. As you may be guessing due to my name, Sidney Crosby. He's in fact my old favourite player. My current favourite "professional" athlete is James Neal.

My favourite Olympian/non "professional" athlete is Alexander Bilideau. What a hero. He's a 2 time gold medalist (at the Olympics) in moguls, which is one heck of a competition.
