Adding onto my last post,

This sounds like a really cool idea. I had a similar thought several times a while ago, about contacting and interviewing people like G33ke, Gravey4rd, Darkrai202, Chad, Col_StaR, HalfSquirrel, RC, and other notables among the staff, forumers, VIPs, and other high-ranking players on the leaderboards. I think something that would really set this in progress would be if you interviewed Huahwi/Tomahawk and had them mention it in a video+desc, thus gaining attention from their fan bases who might also be interested in watching/listening to the other interviews.
Posting it on YouTube would work, perhaps play a round of MCSG with the person you're interviewing, and you can also post the audio-only file on Sound Cloud or something.
Starting out, you would have to contact the people yourselves, and try to work up, towards large YouTubers and whatnot. Eventually you'd probably be able to have a system where people contact you guys, but if you only relied on people who contacted you and not the other way around, you might have mainly people who are just seeking to increase their social status as fast as possible or brag to their friends about being interviewed.
Also, would this be an official MCSG/MCG project or just a community-operated project? If you put the MCSG label on it, the staff might take over the entire project, simply because that'd give them the ability to and they might not want it run by "ordinary members". I can vaguely recall something like that happening before.

Hmmmmm, im still deciding on whether it should be a community or official mcsg program, the problem with getting people like huahwi and thatonetomahawk is time, they live in complete different timezones to me, and me + timezones = no no. Me and overlord547 did practice today, it was pretty difficult, but we have an awesome guest coming on tomorrow! look forward to it!

Interviews: great, and a lot of fun to do. I think that everyone could benefit by getting to know more about the people around them. Personally, I would make them all podcasts, so that you don't need to worry about a visual aspect of a video. However, I would also suggest that you try and make the necessary arrangements to make this an official MCG-supported project; not only would that open up many more resources for you to use, but the MCSG/MCG branding would look good too.

Radio show that this conversation seems to be veering towards: bad. Hosting interviews and having a dedicated radio station are similar, but exist on different strata of complexity. If people want music, you gotta think about licensing and such. If people want nonstop verbal content, you gotta think about what programs you would host, who would work on them, and how many would you need. And if you want it to occur routinely, you have to think about attrition and eventual staff burn-out, especially if it becomes a regular thing.

Great! So pleased someone likes the idea! However I dont quite understand what you mean in the 2nd paragraph. Anyways, I'm creating a thread explaining this in more details so hopefully that will clear some stuff up.

A radio show is a long-term project. It's something that runs 24/7, and has people working on it around the clock to keep it running. It requires actual employees and whatnot, and unless you want people talking on it all the time, you'll have to get music. And to use that music, you would have to contact the makers or representatives or something in order to acquire legal permission to use their music.
If you were to have just a once-in-a-while radio show, it would still need people who could constantly be present and able to help out, without fail.

However, if it was just interviews posted on a YT channel or podcasts, then people would be able to listen to them any time, and it would be entirely different. (I think this is what you meant?) It would be much easier to maintain, and require less resources. It's overall more practical for simply interviews. I don't know why people thought you were talking about a radio show. (Unless I'm the one mistaken, which is possible.)

Yeah I meant the second part, once we get the hang of things we can start taking it to the next level :p
