Hello, I am teddycat14 and I am here for the community and the more of people getting along in mcsg. I want there to just be 1 server instead of 8 servers on the netherstar. We need just 1 server because more people don't have to find a person and check each server in the netherstar to find each other. If a mod says "Its there to be for No lag." Well can I add there is a reason for the clock to make players disappear. We need just 1 server so the whole community of players can talk each other and have fun in just 1 server. For example, The hive. The hive is a amazing community because there is 1 server and plenty of mods. Another reason why we need just 1 server is so we don't have to go to each and ever server to find one, There will be mods on that 1 server to help that player so they don't have to go on each and every 8 servers MCSG Has. So please listen to me and make 1 server for Better community, Better reports on the server, Players, and for youtube.
Thank you. teddycat14

Not a bug, this is a feature suggestion more than anything.

When we say "one hub causes lag", we aren't talking about client lag, since people could easily disable players. We're talking about server lag. The number of players that were in one hub were exceeding the limits of what the Minecraft server software itself could handle, causing massive lag to the point of people being unable to join servers because the hub was lagging. Also, last time I checked, the other community you speak of uses a single premium hub, where all premium members and staff are bunched together in one hub, and many non-premium hubs, where non-premium members are put. We'd like to avoid this if possible because it's essentially segregation and makes it extremely difficult for non-premiums to find mods.

If you're having trouble finding mods, try either hub 1 or hub 8 - there usually tends to be an abundance of staff in either of those hubs.

I can agree with the mods part, but there is ways to fix it. For example, have a meetup and assign hubs to each and every mod. Also, the more the people, I believe they did it because the community's size. Even with all the players leaving and quitting, the community is getting bigger. Also, if you wanted, have your friends get on TS or Skype and talk to them there.

Having a single hub server would not only cause FPS lag, but also server lag, as the hub server may not be able to handle thousands of players at once.
For example, The hive. The hive is a amazing community because there is 1 server and plenty of mods.
I've haven't played on the Hive recently, but I believe that the Hive has a non-premium hub and a separate premium hub. I also thought that the non donor hub was separated onto smaller hubs, but I am unsure.

For the hive one from your putting the Minecraft survival games network would make players not be able to see a youtuber or a friend who has a rank.

You can add more server data to it so there is no lag. And the last thing you said is 1 thing we don't like. We don't want to check each 1-8 server, We just want to stay at 1 server so it does not take us much time to find a mod quickly.

The amount of people connection to a singular hub would be a controversy and with the donor pets it will be even more hectic than when there was just 1 hub, when there was 1 hub there seemed to be a lot of spam and abuse towards staff members and it took a very long time to moderate, this in turn meant people got annoyed with the mods for not moderating the hub when they are banning hackers etc. and with the new 8 hubs means there is not enough spam to annoy people constantly and people can actually have conversations. all in all I believe the multi hubs are a very good idea and if we went back to the old 1 hub scenario then it would mean mods would have to waste their time dealing with spammers and people cussing rather than removing the large hacker population.

It's not as easy as adding more "server data". You could throw as much RAM and hardware as you want at a Minecraft server, but due to the way Notch originally created the server software, the software itself has an upper limit of how many players it can handle.
Also, I didn't say "try all 8 servers" - I mentioned trying hub 1 and hub 8, as those 2 hubs tend to have a large number of staff in them.
