I've liked and played the MCSG for a long time now, but with all the Minecraft and MCSG updates adding more and more and more with each update, it almost seems like you need to have the highest quality of equipment to play anymore. I have a pretty good computer and fine internet, but MCSG always manages to run slowly for me. It gives me the feeling that MCSG is sort of receding into a smaller group of players who are much more involved with computers, keeping out the middle class. Those are just my thoughts, maybe I'm not informed enough or something, but I don't know a lot of people who have the computer power to play these games with any sort of speed. Even with my computer/internet, I suffer from constant lag and problems, keeping me away from playing anything from here anymore.

I have a decent computer and I do just fine. I use old class stuff like a normal keyboard AND A WIRED MOUSE and nothing goes wrong. Just make sure you have at least a 3-5 mbps speed. If that stuff is too complicated for you, I suggest upgrading with some of your stuff because problems you have on mcsg will most likely happen on other servers.

I don't think MCSG will be the reason for your lag. I think it is your computer.
Maybe you don't have enough memory for minecraft.
Have a look at this video here.

Have a look at this thread if you are having some low FPS issues.
Here. It helped me out a lot.

However my point is, the reason for the issues is probably your computer. You can try cleaning it out, but the easiest way to get rid of ALL issues is to get another PC.

Yeah, I don't think this is the case. You may need to upgrade a little to keep up with the times, but it shouldn't be anything too expensive!

Everyone else pretty much summed it up above. Look at giving minecraft more memory, or possible purchasing a new graphics card.

I haven't changed a single thing about my computer (which is by no means a gaming computer) since I started in 2012 and I haven't experienced any negative performance change. I hardly even know anything about computers. What could they even do to make the game unplayable for "the middle class?" It's not like they can upgrade the graphics or anything. You're kinda confusing me o_O
