I need PvP help !

I need PvP help! I use the 1.7 sprint and binded my sprint key to F.

But whenever I PvP someone I stop sprinting in the middle of the fight, then I have to press F again which costs me too much time and then he gets more hits !!!

Help please !?

I tried this out and I got to say, you have skill if you can use 'R' to sprint. And Exodus, I had that same problem but I kept practicing and I don't notice myself not sprinting in a PvP fight anymore.

Bad idea imo. Pressing d will be impossible and you won't be able to strafe well. Use a key that you can hold down with your little finger. Shift works best for me.

but what key do you use to shift then?

If you are still holding another key after holding 'r' you can still sprint, therefore allowing me to use 'd' for a period of time; furthermore, I can strafe. I don't really know, but it works.

I use alt for crouch and control for optifine zoom.

Whatever works for you, I guess. I tried using R right after the update came out and it was impossible for me to pvp because I rely on strafing a lot when fighting others. I prefer holding my sprint key down at all times.
