Maybe you should read the rules, since advertising your channel is against the rules...

Well, hey! Welcome to MCSG ;)

So you want to be active, eh? This should be interesting *Rubs hands together*
Well, you need to be dedicated. That goes without saying. You cannot just want to be active, you have to put a ton of effort into it. And it's something that takes a long time, it's not just one day a week where you spend a few hours on the website. I'm one of the most active people on the entire forums, and I spend over 8 hours a day online. Even when I was in school, I spent 5 hors a day on MCSG servers, both the forums and in-game. Now that I've quit playing MCSG, all that time got transferred over to the forums.
You also need to know what you're doing. You'll acquire skills and general know-how over time, but some things you need to be taught.

Normally I don't bring up my own threads, but as JennoKoala stated, one of the most all-encompassing and useful guides for something of this nature would be Basic Forum Tips, Tricks, and Guidelines, found by Clicking Here. (If it doesn't work, here's the link: http://www.minecraftsurvivalgames.com/threads/basic-forum-tips-tricks-and-guidelines.101386/)
I also recommend searching the Community Corner, Minor Announcements, and Community Guides sections for other useful guides.

Also, if you want people to take you more seriously when replying to a thread or answering questions, or doing pretty much anything at all, proper grammar is key. You don't have to be a walking Language Arts class, but using proper punctuation, spelling, and capitalization is a very good thing to do.
