Synesthesia

Synesthesia is a neurological phenomenon that occurs in a moderate amount of people. It causes people to see letters and numbers as colors also it can make people see letters and numbers the have personalities. Made this because it's really interesting.

This is really cool to learn about. I don't think I have synesthesia, though. When it was talking about superior memory I was reminded of people who can memorize tens of thousands of digits of pi, and how they always have synesthesia. They memorize pi like it is a beautiful scene or a song rather than a hard list of numbers.

It's good to know we all have a little bit of this, though. I associate personalities with letters, for example.

E: Unique and rather feminine

I still don't think I have synthesia. I think most of the personalities and traits I associate with letters are more because of what I have been told as a kid in school and by my family, etc... Synthesia is more random and connects many senses with random objects and ideas. For example, the name Karen smells like ham.

A lot of those my letter descriptions make sense if you think about them, like the O being fat, and the S being sassy. The O is fat in my mind cause fat people are shaped like them. The S is sassy because it starts with that letter and because a lot of girls I knew in my childhood who's names started with S were sassy.
